The difference is TO would have done everything possible to keep the likes of Hardley Gilmore and countless others.
Or he may not have recruited him in the first place. The difference is TO would have done everything possible to keep the likes of Hardley Gilmore and countless others.
I don't believe I said he was "pure souled" or that we would have success, just that he is a good man. Even if he doesn't win, I would bet he will be mentioned by more players as having a positive impact on their lives than a win at all costs coach like Urban Meyer.Name the last "pure souled" good man that has won a national championship.
Good for himnobody in college football talks about their feelings more than Rhule, that's for sure
absolutely.Good for him
Yeah you like tough men I knew you were the bottom holes open for business all dayabsolutely.
many programs around the country boast their staff's ability to represent a tough, disciplinarian father figure to their young men.
we might be the only one that gives our players a second mom.
awww poor snowflake.Yeah you like tough men I knew you were the bottom holes open for business all day
Good lord your emotions are running rampant today. There is medicine for that ya knowabsolutely.

If he was a good man, he would be coaching and teaching HS, making 50k a year and helping more kids, who actually need the help. He loves the pulpit and the money, even though he doesn't have a trophy of any kind. If he was a good man, he would restructure his contract to match the teams production but I assume if they magically win 7 games he'll want an extension. He jumped from Temple before mission was accomplished and jumped from Baylor before mission was accomplished and was one of the worst coaches in NFL history before falling into Trev's hapless lap.Just listened to Coach Rhule's press conference. He may or may not end up being successful here, but he has me convinced that he is a good man and his players and coaches will be better for having worked with him.
I sure hope he gets this going.
I think Rhule is the same guy - he’s got conviction, humility and faith. Confident saying what you see is what you get.Honestly, most of these guys all same the right stuff.
It is all totally different inside the coaches offices though.
So every college coach is not a good man…. Got it. I would say Sabens chicken shit departure from the Dolphins make him one of the most embarrassing and worst NFL coaches. But I get it. Your coach is a racist so you must vindicate yourself attacking other people you don’t know anything about personally. If he was a good man, he would be coaching and teaching HS, making 50k a year and helping more kids, who actually need the help. Every power 4 coach is a slimeball, Saben was a slimeball, but he was great at his job. Our slimeball is utterly mediocre, maybe worse than that. You will see over the next two years. We got fleeced again and it is just the nature of some NU fans to trust authority because Bob and TO were so great, they deserved trust and patience. Rhule doesn't.So every college coach is not a good man…. Got it. I would say Sabens chicken shit departure from the Dolphins make him one of the most embarrassing and worst NFL coaches. But I get it. conviction? I disagree.I think Rhule is the same guy - he’s got conviction, humility and faith. Confident saying what you see is what you get.

Pretty amazing how some posters are so consistently negative about pretty much everything. What a miserable existence. They need Jesus.
I find him to have conviction in his process and a belief in how to build a team and get them to a competitive point. I think he drowns out the noise - understands where we are and has confidence of where we will be. His vision for the program has been laid out to his staff and players and I believe they are executing it.conviction? I disagree.
he's very wishy washy. says one thing & does another quite a bit. his in-game management seems anchorless. spring game canceled, spring game back on.
I think Rhule is a genuinely Nice Guy. I also think this business shows us where genuinely Nice Guys finish more often than not.
I am so ready for thisI find him to have conviction in his process and a belief in how to build a team and get them to a competitive point. His open and honest communication to the players on their development is admirable. He is a very good ambassador of Lincoln and Husker football on the national stage.
Fair points on some of the in-game management and I was in open disagreement of the spring game decision.
What would year 3 need to look like, record-wise for Kong to say “that’s our guy!”? I felt we underperformed in 2024 and should have been good enough for top 25. I think we get back on track and hit where I was hoping to be in year 3 and that is top 15 in the country. We will either be in the playoffs or just missing them IMO.
For me to say “Rhule may not be our guy” we would have to finish outside the top 25 this year (unless we have multiple key injuries that could warrant grace).
I think we are going to see a team (players and coaches) we can be proud of in 2025!
I agree. And players play harder for people they believe in so I wouldn't doubt that he does turn it around.Just listened to Coach Rhule's press conference. He may or may not end up being successful here, but he has me convinced that he is a good man and his players and coaches will be better for having worked with him.

Michigan game is a big one circled for me also. At home - needs to happen. Should be a Colorado-esque atmosphere and hoping for a repeat of the last time I saw Michigan play in Lincoln where they left with an L.In just two years he has essentially turned over his entire handpicked staff
We need to beat Michigan (true frosh QB, 7-5 last year, not sure they’re even good) or pennst for me to believe we are anywhere close to the path to meaningful seasons
Schedule this year makes the entire Big 12 blush
1 of 2-3 top 25 teams we’ll see all yearMichigan game is a big one circled for me also. At home - needs to happen. Should be a Colorado-esque atmosphere and hoping for a repeat of the last time I saw Michigan play in Lincoln where they left with an L.
1 of 2-3 top 25 teams we’ll see all year
And no guarantee they finish the season there
If we can’t win 9+ with this schedule it’s time to move on
