When there were "rumors" about Prime coming to NU I was pretty aroused. It was way more interesting than the Lance L rumors, that guy is basically human melatonin.
Husker fans that don't like Prime really don't have good reasons other than "he likes himself a lot"
A lot of Husker fans have created this romantic version of development and 3 stars grinding...Prime for some reason was seen as the opposite of that.
Prime is probably going to have a ranked team come monday.

There is no way the boomers on here would have been okay with Coach Prime as the head coach.
There were a few of us that wanted Mickey but that wasn’t going to happen even without his legal issues.
And even then there were the idiot culture warriors on here (you know the ones, they always have to inject their political views in sports posts) that saw conspiracy theories in Kevin Warren attending all the Husker games as a way to pressure Alberts to hire a black coach. Not even joking. That is the level dumbassery on here.

I completely agree, however, I'm sure we've had many opportunities to beat teams that were ranked that shouldn't have been
I was neutral about hiring Rhule, hoping that it works out. And had Nebraska for some reason hired Deion, I would have been the same, hoping that it would work out.
I wouldn't close the door on Rhule yet, he has proven that he can turn things around. Oh, now that everyone has seen cu play, the road could get a bit tougher as the season goes on, they could easily lose to SC, Oregon, Utah, Ucla, one of the AZ teams and they better watch out for CSU as well, upsets can happen.
Never said he was God's gift to coaching. But if you can't see a difference in what he did with that team in less than a year, then you have your blinders on. Red blinders I might add. Meanwhile, you honestly cannot say you saw one difference in our team other than special teams play.

Not true. Our D is much better. I feel the O line is better. We just took a major drop off in QB and really needed Betts to stay. We need to focus on and be creative with the run game and play action because Sims could kill us otherwise. Put pressure on Sanders. Hell even Patrick Mahomes is bad if pressured.
Defense too.. Rhule didn’t kick 65 players off the team and bring his son in to play QB ( kidding Rhules son doesn’t play football)
Rhule should've kicked a hell of a lot of kids off the teamj this offseason

A great QB and a great OC win in CFB. There aren’t many exceptions. And how long has it been since we have had an above average QB/OC combo?

Lol it was a good win but now there's tape on them. They might be a little better than expected but we'll see once conference play starts. Everyone jumping the gun either way after one win makes me question their knowledge of football..
I didn't know what people you are referring to, but I am 58 years old and have been a diehard fan since I was 8 years old despite not ever being in the state until 1994.
Too early to judge this decision. TCU is not TCU of last year. Also, I will state for the 500th time that the quality of play in the Pac 10 and Big 12 does not measure up to that of the Big 10 and SEC. Sanders will not face near the challenge he would playing in our conference.
That said, we have a talent issue and need to figure it out quickly. We have not had a QB that can throw accurately, linemen that are subpar, slow linebackers, etc. The BS that we have more talented teams is proven false by the NFL draft. And just coaching them better isn't enough. And yes the teams of the 90s were full of high draft picks and later pro bowlers.
CU looks like a completely different team. You can't coach guys to be superior talents. Diving interceptions, accurate throws on routes, separation by receivers, running backs going the distance...we don't have that.
