Of all the games we have lost...

Of all the games we have lost over the years, in all the painful ways, this game tops them all as the most unbelievable, terrible loss I have ever witnessed.

Iowa had one good play the entire game, literally one. They had five first downs! We more than doubled their offensive output. We moved the ball up and down the field on them.

To beat Iowa, you don't have to do anything good. Just don't mess up. And that's what we do.

I would love it if in Iowa's coaches office on the white board, the game plan is literally "Wait for Nebraska to screw up."

We've had all year to fix special teams. Haven't done it. Matt Rhule clock management sucks again. Sorry, Matt, we don't pay you 8 million dollars a year to say "My bad" when you screw up the clock.

The “wait for Nebraska to screw up” is more realistic than you think. Last year was identical with an interception instead of a fumble to lose the game. NBC showed 5 previous games with the Iowa kicker hitting a walk off FG. That is more than coincidence.

As far as worst loss mine is Michigan State where we were ahead at halftime, MSU didn’t have any first downs in the 2nd half and we lose on the punt cover team running to the wrong side of the field.

If there was ever a game that could so eloquently describe Iowa football it was yesterday's game.

Simply atrocious mind-numbingly boring and pathetic offensive football coupled with great special teams and field position play along with a defense that is extremely well coached that does not give up big plays.

And at the end of the game, they have 5 first downs with 49 yards rushing and somehow pull out a game in the 4th quarter as they effectively capitalize on the other team's repeated mistakes with a game winning 53 yard field goal as time expires.

They don't beat themselves and they win all the hidden yardage battles in field position and special teams.

It is truly one of the most overlooked items of Tom Osborne's career at Nebraska. Our kicking game and special teams were truly year in and year out one of the very best in the country. We are now accustomed to special teams gaffes week in and week out that repeatedly cost us dearly in winnable games.
This is spot on.
Nice work sir.
