He came in last game in the final 3 minutes and scored. They said he'd been struggling and hoped that would give him confidence
Griffiths had his moments at Rutgers last year. Surprised at how much he’s struggled here, but there’s a lot of season left. He might resurface.

Yes he was a 5-star recruit/Top 25 recruit nationally out of high school. I am not sure how, he has not looked good at all.

Shooter’s funk. Essegian had that going on today. My guess is Griffiths is lifting and trying to put some weight on and it’s messed with his shot. Shooting is sooooo mental.
My boy and I watched him in warmups. Hit 12 straight threes. It appears he can still shoot.
From watching early season games the dude can’t guard. NU might be offensively challenged at times but they freaking play defense. The effort and rotations are amazing. He probably just needs to pick up on the defensive schemes.
I think he’ll get more minutes in certain games. Kid can score, but tonight’s rock fight probably wasn’t his moment.
The little bit he played earlier in the year he couldn’t throw it in the ocean. Made a few shots in the last game. Hopefully he can get it going.
Would be a huge boost if he could earn minutes.
I was surprised that we took him, but I'm not surprised that he isn't playing. He doesn't fit the style of play this team uses. He's not going to start and I just don't see him taking away minutes from anyone in the top eight rotation.
UCLA made about 15 straight 3's in warmups as a team and then proceeded to shoot 4-28. Game action is a lot different than warmups.
Griffiths signed a few days ahead of Essegian, so Hoiberg probably felt he needed to add an outside shooting threat. If Essegian had picked NU a few days earlier, Fred might have gone a different direction.
Makes total sense to me. When I saw the Griffiths kid coming in, he reminded me of the transfers that we used to get. Highly touted at one point, but not showing the same potential in college. I'd rather roll with transfers with lower ratings out of HS who have achieved more at the college level. Pedigree means nothing. Just watch that Morgan kid-- not the most talented, but competes like a S.O.B.

GG s not getting any minutes the rest of this year unless it is mop up duty. He has a good stroke. Needs it to happen in a game. He has the potential to be an option at 3-point line next year. Not a fill it up like Essegian, but can keep defenses honest.
Seems to be a good teammate. When he popped a couple 3s in the holiday tournament game it looked like the bench was a lot more excited for him than he was for himself.

hey, i never got an answer... did Worster not play in Hawaii? i watched the entire last game and don't remember him.. he was rock solid yesterday
He played all 3 games. Probably averaged about 28 minutes per game. If I recall he didn’t have the best of games.
I like his game in the paint. He made a crucial 3 with time winding down but he’s not a good shooter. Good rebounder and scorer when he posts up weaker defenders. Strong kid.
