USC isn't very good

USC game with Penn State next week feels a lot less interesting than it did a few hours ago. Though the Nits are a walking hospital ward as far as injuries go so who knows.

USC game for us feels a lot more winnable than it did a few weeks ago. On the flip side Indiana looks to be more difficult than before. Ohio State is well Ohio State.

Our schedule looks harder than we thought originally.

There have always been upsets in CFB. And there will be a lot more with the increased travel that goes along with these coast to coast conferences. It’s honestly stupid that USC is traveling to penn state for a conference game.

I believe PSU is going out to SC... but yes I find it quite stupid myself. At least the Nits can enjoy the Southern Cal weather I guess. I live about an hour from State College and the usual October crap weather is starting to arrive, lol.

We've sucked during that stretch. USC is supposed to be a top 15 team.
Although they have had more very good years than bad, USC hasn’t been top 15 consistently since Pete Carroll left 15 years ago and consequently they have fired coaches post-Pete at a Nebraska-rate. Riley may soon wish he was back at OU.

If they don’t already, USC is just gonna hate being in this conference. They’re used to those West Coast games where both teams agreed to not play defense and just whip it around the yard. Big 10 turns games into backyard beefs.
This. Wish we played them a game or 2 later because they are going to be sore.

This is interesting and there is kind of a lot of truth it.

It is almost like certain conferences have some handshake deal to play certain ways.

Minnesota is well coached. And they are putting kids into the NFL. Fleck also damn near beat Michigan the week before.
Definitely a developmental program, but not one that gets top flight talent. They get the most out of their guys though.
