I understood what he meant. It is customary if outside while wearing your cover in the Marines that you stop what you are doing and face the music or the flag and stand at attention until the music is done. If indoors, you don't have to observe colors. I suspect it is done a little different with each branch. One time in the 90's, I lost a bank debit card because I had just put it in the ATM and colors began. I turned to stand at attention and the machine eventually swallowed up my card.

It is very true and for a lot of the people that are happy they lost, they are looking at the players on the team as anti-americans.

That is the problem they created for themselves. I am sure they never thought it would be like that/this.

But, people will only feel "sorry" for others for so long when those other people that are "bringing awareness" (bitching) are still in the top 2-3% of earners in the country and by any standard at all would be some of the richest people in almost every other country in the world.

As someone that is part of the military, you'd be surprised how many service members run for cover everytime colors comes on so they don't have to get stuck standing at attention outside. These are guys who are literally representing our country Every. Single. Day. Yet you're upset that someone took a knee during the anthem. How did I lose you? If you're INDOORS (on base) and colors are going off you continue about your work/day. If you're OUTSIDE (on base) and colors go off you either stand at attention or salute depending if you're in uniform. Hopefully this helped clarify how colors works on base.

A lot of people don't realize this happens (especially civilians), but I would hope you and others would hold them accountable like you do professional athletes.

I was making the point that those who are considered very patriotic still duck out during colors and the anthem. If they respected the anthem as much as you think they did, they would be out there regardless of the elements. I've stood in the rain during colors plenty of times. It's approximately 1 min and 15 seconds of my life. But there are also those who you see sprinting across a parking lot on base at 0800 or sunset to get inside 🇺🇸 😂 🇺🇸

My take is you have every right to kneel, stand, sit or squat during the anthem. That's your right as an American.
But it's also my right as an American to never watch, buy or support anything you ever do again.

I believe it's probably a combination of both. I think she's probably saying that the women's team is a lot more relevant on the world level, than the men are (right now). I don't think you can label it woke cry baby when asking for a pay raise? If that's the case, what do you think your boss thinks of you when go to him asking for a raise? At the end of the day it's a National team. I think both men and women should make the same while competing Internationally.

You are aware that the Men soccer get more viewership at home and around the world than the Women soccer does, that’s the reason why because they have more people watching it and viewership pays the bills was the reason why the men were getting higher pay…

AND, the women get short term leave and insurance benefits.
