I talked to Los Angeles Hawkins coach Malik James this morning about their trip to Nebraska this weekend and the impression I got is that Lewis is highly interested and James would have no problems sending Lewis to Lincoln if that's his final decision.
This trip was more about James and his brother, Milvon, getting to experience Nebraska, see what it's all about, meet the coaches, those were the important aspects of this visit and it went well. The expectations are for Lewis to still take official visits to Nebraska and Arizona among others.
The thinking is that Lewis is definitely open to Nebraska, that being in the sunshine or a beach isn't all that important to him. But I've still heard that USC will be a serious contender to the end. No doubt, though, it was a valuable trip to Nebraska and the Huskers are still very, very much in it.
