UCLA -5.5

but yes, when that game was 17-0....we were further away then than we are now.

See, that's your fallacy. All the nine wins or 17 point leads didn't matter. Cause in the end Bo will ruin everything he touched. It's who he is. Time to move on.

I have to agree with bill. After the Holiday Bowl against Arizona i was feeling pretty good about things. I saw top defensive recruits beating down his door just to play for him. So once we worked out the offensive problems we would be the second coming of Alabama's resurgence. But it never happened. Top defensive stars stayed away like the plague. And the offensive ineptitude was replaced with a turnover machine. Things never got fixed!
With Riley you can see the improvement in year one with the defense. The offense is moving right along. The missing piece is a quarterback and we're gonna be right there. Look how these games played out this year. A break here and there and this season could be totally different. Under Bo we were a million miles away. The problem has always been the coach. And that problem is gone.
lol. We lost a BIG 12 title game by 1 second under Bo. Does that count as a break here or there? Firing Bo was the right move, but this season was an absolute disaster. Our win over a top 10 team doesnt shine up this turd of a year. Nonsensical hyperbole doesnt help either.

I have a feeling that we are getting to the point where people will be researching all the 5-7 seasons for every team in college football ever...to see if they can rank this years 5-7 Husker team as the best 5-7 team ever.

And it costs his family who begged him to improve so they could stay. The real victims.

I have an idea: let's leave Bo's family issues out of this. Let's pretend like we have some iota of class. Maybe you're right and maybe you're wrong, but winning imaginary internet points isn't really worth it.

I will say what I know is the truth. Your feelings don't mean crap to me. He broight it on himself with his antics and painting the whole state, program, and fans with a broad brush. Cry if you want to.

Why the hell would he want one when he's getting paid big money from NU?
Because he has pride? Everytime I see this argument, it astounds me that some people think it makes sense. It also astounds me you idiots still support him, despite the fact that apparently, you don't think he has even the smallest bit of pride in his job. "I'm getting paid! Why would I want to continue to be the best I can be?"

Good lord...no kidding...

I have to agree. I'm still a supporter of Mike Riley but the rationalization that one of five wins was better than ANY season Bo had here is a bit...well it's denying reality. This was a bad year. I hope next year is better. I'm no more a yesman for Riley than I was for Bo, who, for the record, was a terrible head coach and the shambles he left this team in is one reason I'm still supporting Riley.

Sometimes I wish Bo had one more year, so he could have taken these 5-7 or 4-8 lumps. But then I know the program would be in an even deeper hole.

You decide who you are. It has nothing to do with Bo.
If you want to talk about someone else's family life, that's because that's the person you are.

That line shocks me. UCLA is a pretty good team. Or can be. I guess the same could be said about Nebraska. Hard to tell which teams will show up. I expect a lot of points in this game. Plus, Mike Reilly knows UCLA.

Cry me a river. Don't lecture me on what I saw and experienced first hand. Once again, he brought it all on himself. To defend someone like him tells me who YOU are as a oerson as well.

Huskerbill, such a clown.....calling for mods?Sorry I hurt your feelings. The mods here have an agenda, I'm a realist and the present state of affairs doesn't fit....good luck!
And what agenda might that be? You throw that word around pretty loosely.

I'm ok with who I am. It's just who I'm associated with that causes me embarrassment on occasion.
You indicated that his family are the real victims here. Do you think his wife would be cool with you talking about their marriage, on a public message board, anonymously? What about his kids?

I don't know who "they" is but clearly Tommy was exclusively to blame for at least 3 losses this year - if you disagree you must not have been watching the games.

NW and Iowa. Otherwise what game did Tommy give up the final TD or field goal drive?

And Bo blew it because it's what he does. Taylor could barely walk yet the football gods smiled upon us early against Oklahoma. Bo didn't know when to let it go and keep Rex in the wildcat or put Lee in to replace Taylor. All we needed was field goals in the four to win it yet he kept putting Taylor back in??? AND IN THE SHOTGUN NO LESS! He just took sack after sack pushing us out of field goal range. That loss would become classic Bo...stubborn and his own worst enemy.

Yeah cause Bo fumbled twice and threw an INT in the redzone. Turnovers loss that game. If they are then 16 INTs are Riley's fault.

Well I do think it is better than the 5-7 2014 OSU team that Riley coached and probably better than the 5-7 2010 OSU team he also coached. I think Riley's 5-6 team in 2005 was pretty good though. Matt Moore at QB, Mike Haas at WR and Yvenson Bernard at RB. Now that was a really good 5 win team. CoolCoolCoolCool

I dislike Bo with the fire of a thousand suns, but talking about his family is a douche move.

I didn't say anything bad about his family. Actually I think quite the opposite of that, but jump to whatever you need to be offended about today. Oh yeah, douche
