I doubt that we can get him out of the south, but man what a great get this kid would be. A 320 pound kid who can play inside? That's our greatest need in the portal. We've got to get bigger, much bigger in the interior defensive line.

Sounds like Texas Tech made him a huge offer. Something wild is going on in Lubbock; they have landed several high-profile portal guys so far.
He was a 2nd team all conference DT at UCF. He would be an upgrade but it sounds like he's going to the SEC.

Got that safety from NDSU. Was an all-american in 2023. Sat out 2024 due to injury. Put me on notice.
Bringing players doesn’t exclusively mean transfers and just because UCF had bad season doesn’t mean they can’t have some quality players.

Rhule did say that the market for the top kids would usually be set by a more desperate school or something along those lines. Bottom line, if less powerful schools have the money, they will set the market. It's their best shot at getting anybody.
How quickly we forget the incoming freshman class when they dangle transfer carrots in front of us.
The problem for us trying to sign experienced DTs is that they can all see what we have on the roster already. RVP, Juedy and Davis are going to be tough to displace from the lineup and IF a kid has an agent they're going to make sure their client knows that.
Bigger problem IMO is we have so many roster spots to fill that you can't just go crazy on the DL, since even after the losses it's still relatively experienced and stable.
We pretty much had to add two scholarship edges and should get at least one scholarship DT. We're pretty thin there with the graduations and Pot Roast didn't exactly kill it in recruiting this past year. Terry should be good but it's not reasonably to expect him to play many snaps as a true freshman.
