His position coach is still there so who really knows? It may give Bama the inside scoop.
Wouldn't the position coach be up in the air as well, depending on who is hired as the next coach? JP better get on it and I'm sure he will.
Orgeron may well survive.
Supposedly named head coach with no mention of the "interim" tag.Orgeron may well survive.

Hmm I heard interim but then I'm really old and forgetful.
At least you aren't as old and senile as @sparky62Hmm I heard interim but then I'm really old and forgetful.

You are most likely correct. The one story I read I think from the AP didn't say interim. That's probably been edited by now to correct it if it is interim.Hmm I heard interim but then I'm really old and forgetful.
Some would say he did ok at USC as the interim and his recruiting can't be disputed....dirty maybe but he get's after it. Ole Miss resources when he led that program left a lot to be desired compared to what he would have at LSU. LSU is going to have to throw a bazillion dollars to get any of the names I've heard that don't end in iles.....Orgeron had a chance at Ole Miss and it didn't go so well. It's possible that he's grown as a head coach, but I would be fairly surprised if he was handed the reins of a major program permanently until he demonstrates success at a non power five team or lower level power five team.

I will be surprised if Briles doesn't end up there in some capacity.Orgeron might well have what it takes to have great success, I just wonder if a major program would take a chance on him after letting a coach as successful as Miles go.
