Did anyone else catch this on Twitter? I read a post from Jim Rose (not sure if it was that Jim Rose) chastising people for making fun of Sean Callahan and did some internet backtracing. Apparently Sean dropped a punt in front of all 2000 people that showed up for the Husker Games and the main Husker Twitter account posted a video of it saying something like, "stick to reporting Sean 😅." Clearly a playful jab at one of the main Husker football media personalities.

This did not please the Sean. He had some public, choice words for the main Husker account and as of now the post and video have been deleted.

Does Sean fancy himself as a former high level athlete or something? I do remember a gif from back in the day where he jumped up and touched the crossbar of the goalposts and jogged off like he had just hit a home run. Was Sean really "that dude" back in the day? Somebody told him not everyone can be Santino Panico, right?

Really is the off season gift that keeps on giving…

Also, please merge with original “Dean… is a tool” thread. Thx mods 🙂

Sean C is a dweeb. Wish NU would tell him to pound sand, I can’t stand listening to him. Put on a stocking cap and he would look like Eric cartman reporting on NU

I actually don't mind Sean. He did well for himself considering his limitations. Though if you're nearing 50 you should be able to laugh off a dropped punt in your business casuals...

Ahh, missed it. Forgive me for dropping the ball there...the mods will come in and clean it up.

I don't know about Sean but his Father Pat played for the 'skers back in the day. Super nice guy who is still an avid fan and tailgater.

They were talking about this on the pod and Sean was saying it was going to be Sipp fielding it. Then they both joked that no old man will athletic even if they did catch it. Sip said he didn’t want the video to live on the internet forever and they made some playful jabs about it at the time.

Disappointing after publicly saying all those things he wouldn’t have a better attitude about it during real time.

The funniest Sean Callahan moment was when he got roasted on Twitter for wearing bedazzled women's gloves

Dude, did you clear this post with Sir Sean?

If not, better take that down.

It's gonna trigger him.

Had seats once behind the goal posts before they started putting up nets to catch the field goals and extra points so sitting there before the game they’re practicing kicking field goals from about the 40 yard line and those things are coming in like missiles just to catch a football kicked by a college level player is no small accomplishment

I just listened to his podcast from Monday. I like Sean and what he brings to Husker football. He sounded like a total baby. No one cares dude - laugh it off.

I read the punts were actually coming from a machine so it should have been an automatic grab for any former 90's Nebraska high school athlete.

Hahaha it's amazing how he steps on rakes like this about once a year or so, and it becomes a hilarious addition to the Dean mythology. "Rise To Power" was another one.

His rise to power is not a joke as he reacquired this web site shortly after this post was made. I just want to clarify to everyone that I am not suicidal at all, and I also want to reiterate what I posted above that I like Sean Callahan.

It was a really bad look for Sean. I listen to their podcasts most of the time and his reaction was just ridiculous.

I think what he doesn't seem to grasp is no one but him cares how he looked catching it or whether or not he caught the punt. Nobody made a big deal out of it but him, if he doesn't say anything, it likely never gets brought up again other then between him and his close friends that might razz him. Stop trying to make something out of nothing.

He should never get invited to do something fun like that again.

Wait, so this is real?

I listen to the podcast and I like it for the most part. But I did not hear this get mentioned, maybe I missed it.

Tbh, he can just pack up his shit and move for all I care.. oh yeah, nobody else wants him either. If we all stop reading his articles and stop tuning in, will he eventually go away? Let's make it happen. GBR.

I don't want to pile on but Sean's technique is not up to 90's Nebraska high school player standards here. I believe Gross High School needs to shoulder some of the blame.

Hey man, I can try to teach a fish not to swim but… The only thing Gross is guilty of is not knowing he was a fish.

If go back to the Monday after the spring game they start off talking about it.

I normally like Sean C a lot more than his cohost. But he warned Sean that he was going to get made fun of if he missed and was all cocky. Sean C should have leaned into it tbh.
