There is nothing great about any of the WRS we have now. I hope all 3 freshmen get to play.
I think Stanley Morgan has the ability to be an all-conference player. He has all the tools.

I hope all are ready to play early. I think all will be needed to play early. That's one. That's why I hope all 3 play early. Find out what they have.
Plus it will help our recruiting. Knowing that you can come in and contribute early.

If any of our QBs pass accurately at least 85% of the time, we will not lose this year. Write it down.If that stupid injury bug hits the WR group again, we will need all of them to be ready.
It would suck to finally have a QB that can pass accurately (at least 85% of the time I hope) and not have any WRs open to throw it to, thus making our offense one dimensional and having to rely on Cav's pass protectors to run block.
Red Rover? Is that you?If any of our QBs pass accurately at least 85% of the time, we will not lose this year. Write it down.
Has anybody in the history of all of football completed 85% of their passes over the course of the season? If we are the first, we win every game.Red Rover? Is that you?Whole lot of new to deal with. IF we can get through the first 4 weeks without any hiccups, we have a chance. Gonna be a steep learning curve for the D.
Talented guy but he needs to just play football and not run his mouth so much in games.I think Stanley Morgan has the ability to be an all-conference player. He has all the tools.
That's true, maybe that's what was meant by the poster who suggested this as well... Typically we don't talk in terms of accuracy regarding placement, but in terms of completion percentage, which is how I took it. But maybe he intended what you are suggesting.Passing accurately 85% of the time is completely different than having 85% of your passes completed..... At least in my opinion!

Correct!
Sorry for the confusion timnsun
I could have stated it differently, such as having a QB that can actually place the ball where it needs to be placed 85% of the time.
My thought was that a QB can get the ball where it needs to go a high percentage of the time, but that a defender could still make a great move on the ball or the receiver could still drop it, thus not making a completion.
I would say TA was well under 50% at placing the ball where it needs to be placed (in order for the receiver to catch it in stride or for only the receiver to have an opportunity to catch it and not the DB).
His accuracy was horrible. How many times did the ball get thrown behind the receiver or under-thrown and the receiver still made the catch? How many times did he just flat out overthrow his receiver? How many times did he throw a sideline pass out of reach for the receiver to get a foot down and make the catch?
If (and I mean if) our new QBs can throw the ball much more accurately than TA did, it would suck to have our best WRs out, thus negating the advantage of a better passing QB.
If we had O'Brien or Lee in the backfield last year against Iowa, we beat 'em in a shootout, 49-40. Tommy missed so many open receivers that he's still watching video of that game on what plays he could have improved upon.
Great article on Tyjon. Can't wait to see him play for Nebraska. Definitely seems like a great kid.

I'm hoping he is the best and most explosive offensive player on our team the day he walks into campus. We really don't have a player that would make top d coordinators lose sleep right now.
Lol.I also think there is a chance we have a Julian Edelman on this team and nobody is talking about him. But, Zack Darlington is tough as nails and plays with a chip in his shoulder. He's been great so far this spring in the slot!
