Travis Hunter knows there is no place like Nebraska!!

Loudest I've ever heard Memorial stadium!!

Actually a small miracle that this kid turned out so well. He was able to excel at football all while seemingly being an admirable person, despite the negative influences of coach prime. Can’t be easy to come out of the other side of that clown show and still be a decent person.

Kind of crazy that the biggest win and by far the most impressive was basically driven by our amazing and desperate fanbase, Colorado completely choked due to the crowd...threw a pick 6 and dropped a pick 6 that became a td. We fell back to earth in the 2nd half and really never looked decent the rest of the year.

Me: Marriage is a horrible idea unless you are doing it for the sacrament.

Most of Husker board: You don't know what you are talking about it! My wife is my best friend.

Travis Hunters gets married...Husker board "Wow, what a huge mistake, dude should have never have gotten married".

Not about marriage. It's about the type of person she is. When that much money is at stake you have to protect yourself.

Nailed it.

I doubt many have a prenup either...

We don’t have one. Of course we started the marriage with nothing to our names. So trying to protect half of nothing didn’t make sense.

She’s still “the one” though! Could not be happier and am still thankful for that decision every day!
I have never known anyone, personally, that has had one.

If I was a girl (first of all, I would be so ****ing hot and a total cock-tease), I would NEVER let my man make me sign one.

Would you require a prenup with the one you have now had you started your marriage when you had millions in the bank?

Don’t forget to change your personality considerably about 30 minutes after the ceremony

Men do what they can afford to do, if you are making less than 100k a year for your whole life, are average looking and have nothing interesting about you, which is 99% of men, then settling for a nice girl and having a companion makes sense. If you are going to be a multi-millionaire, have literally limitless options for female companionship, and should be focusing on your career anyway then it makes sense to find companionship, only when you need it. But she might be super cool and he since he is a good student and obviously extremely focused on football, he might just like having a companion so he doesn't have to focus on it. A lot of men get married so they can just be done with the game.

Interesting question. Knowing how our marriage is after 20 years - I still wouldn’t sign it with what we have built if I were to go back in time.

Now - if I was starting out with someone new right now at my age, I absolutely would have a prenup.

I will offer my opinion. Don't get married unless you are planning to have kids and don't rush into it either way. Be engaged a few years and live together. I say this as someone who is happily married for 22 years with two kids. The world has evolved enough that just being permanently engaged is fine and takes away the unnecessary financial risks if things go wrong.

100%. This is so true!
I know that girls love to frame this as "Well, he is grown up now" but it is not that.

Girls are also soooo much fun in that initial hanging-out stage. But man do they change once they have that guy locked up.

This is really good advice.

Again, if you are getting married to complete the sacrament of marriage that is amazing.

But if it is not a religious thing, there is no reason at all to make it "legal". Hell, you can still have the ceremony and the ring and the dress...just don't make it legal.

May I ask, why? To the now scenario.

About 1/3 of what you said I agree 100%.

The other 1/3, I see what you're saying. I don't completely agree, but I get it and it isn't a hill I'd die on.

The last 1/3, I disagree 100%.

She’s likely pregnant already too btw. Hope it’s his at least. 😬
Don't go down the Tyreek Hill path. 13 kids with 5 or 6 different baby mama's now? Give or take. And these players wonder why they're broke 5 years after their career is over. Be smart with your finances kids.
