Transfer Portal Season

Hell, we brought in a promising TE from LSU who was supposed to be a dynamite blocker only to find out he had a torn ACL? and couldn't even play for this season.

At least bring in kids that aren't coming off a season ending injury in the recent past.

Seems like we would have learned our lesson with Teddy and Corcoran and the annual injuries they have.
I thought the LSU TE tore his ACL shortly after arriving?

Wake me when next season starts. Everything between now and then is just a big tease. I am still seething over the Iowa game. So right now I wouldn’t mind seeing the roster cut to 0 and we start from scratch.
I hear ya. I just saw something on Twitter about how bad UCLA’s offense was and it got me pissed off all over again about that game. We probably win 9 games this year if we had a competent OC all year.

How about a long snapper?

So when you sort the players by rating, at least as of today, 247 has Princewill as the top player in the portal. James Williams at number 10, and looks like he’s following Tony to FSU.

Williams is the perfect example of a player that is playing for a coach and not playing for the school. What happens if/ when he gets to Florida St and they have players who are bigger and faster and pot roast doesn’t play him.
Even when FSU sucks, they are still a hell of a nice looking off the bus team. There are players on that roster that will be able to outplay Williams after a spring with Tony.

A DE with 1.5 career sacks is the top player in the portal? OK.

There is an All-PAC OL from Arizona in there , a RB from LMU that ran for over 1,200 yards as a true freshman, a 5-star QB from Oklahoma that threw 12 TD to only 3 INT.

That should tell you Princewill is extremely talented and that's recognized nationally.

Or that these recruiting sites are sticking to their initial recruiting assessment rather than updating for actual college production. We need proven, productive players, even if they are FCS or non-P4.
Princewill produced a freshman all-american season. I think(?) he redshirted this year, so he would have 3 years left to play. He's appropriately rated.

Supposedly. 22 tackles and 1 sack. Followed up by 11 tackles and a half sack. Has good measurables and potential. No way he is the best player in the portal.

He played in every game this year. You just didn’t notice him, because he wasn’t very productive. I would have liked to keep him, as he obviously has talent. But rating him higher than guys that actually produce at an all-conference level is wild.
