Not sure if he's married with kids but that could factor in. A lot of people aren't dying to keep moving, especially if they figure he's likely to be a HC at some point in the relatively near future.

So NM by all means keep spending on shitty products....It doesn't cost us a dime....Except maybe indirectly through these entities charging inflated prices to pay for these ridiculous contracts.

Athletic department revenue as far as I know. Ticket sales, merchandise sales, tv money. Our athletic department is self sufficient.

Nebraskas athletic department is self sufficient receives no tax dollars. You are correct not every athletic department .

Do you not realize how much tax revenue the state gains because of Husker Athletics? Think of how much business each home football game generates for all of the local businesses in Lincoln with tens of thousands of people coming to town....restaurants, bars, hotels, parking, etc.....then all the businesses and employees pay taxes on the money they make.

Great, great news. Now go out and find a top caliber QB coach and hopefully a top caliber QB to go with our defense. I do not want to see another year where a great defense is wasted on such a pitiful offense.
We could pay our next head coach & staff half of what we currently do and those items (merch, tickets, advertising) wouldn't decrease.
All things Nebraska football is changing what people/fans are willing to pay.
