He’s not wrong. If your sport can’t make it on its own without subsidies, it’s basically a silly club sport, or better suited to the intramural category.

We need men playing women's sports. That might make it more interesting. 
While we're at it, can we end women's suffrage? Women have been suffering for a long time, real men could step up and stop it.
The only programs that turned a profit at Nebraska last year were: football, men’s basketball and volleyball.

Any non-revenue sports shouldn’t be playing games more than a two hour bus ride away. What a frivolous waste of resources.
Travel and coaches’ salaries. Support staff, cost of attendance, scholarships. Even though scholarships have no value to NIL promoters.
I would assume there is stadium chargebacks/allocations to the sports that use them as well? The numbers can grow reaaaal fast.

That’s why I am surprised At Mississippi it says Men’s BB didn’t turn a profit and Baseball did. Unless it is a typo.
I don't know about basketball, but they support their baseball big time. Almost like LSU
I would still think they have more in attendance at a basketball games than a baseball games..

1. LSU
2. Mississippi State
3. Ole Miss
4. Arkansas
5. South Carolina
6. Texas

SEC baseball for many programs is a money maker because of the passion in the conference for baseball.
Women’s sports when required to have expenses that are comparable to the men’s counterpart sport, the income will remain short. Until the interest can match the interest of the men’s sports, colleges will spend required by law, and public pressures, that will outweigh said income.
Sports have their place and can help in life skills development and relationships.
