Like it or not, it's the exact same thing Osborne did.Why not just say this weeks ago?
But what if the team gets mentally tired, or physically tired, or nervous, or starts pressing, or the shots just aren't falling, or the other teams' shots are falling, or someone gets hurt, or someone falls down on an in-bounds play - then being in the conversation for the NIT should be enough, right?Well...there should be no debate about what is expected next year....NCAA tournament or hit the road, MIles.
Extension time! Only way to win.Being a coach at Nebraska is like being a quarterback at Nebraska, you just have your spot no matter how you perform.Poor coaching ought to at least be a pay cut, but it seems we reward it.

Extensions all around!
Who would be a killer to lose this year?I'm ok with it. I knew losing White would be a killer. Do or die next year!
And all the players follow! How would we even field a team? This could all be moot, if Miles bolts for another job.

Why? He has a great one here already. He did win at every level ( most AD take that into consideration when hiring a Mid Major)and only one year In Lincoln...
Let's see what your boy Eichorst does in his next endeavor in hiring a Basketball coach.
I don't know. The AD is working on a short deal, why can't the coaches? That's what I want to know. He'll be back. Will his contract be extended?
I think this has been said many times but isn't SE's policy to not comment on coaches until after the season? That would explain the why now and not sooner.
That's on the coach. If your team is playing like shit, blaming the guy who would have to hire your replacement is lame as shitI think most of us wonder why he waited until today to tell Miles he would be back (Miles said he didn't tell him until right before today's game). Why not tell him privately weeks ago? Eichorst did the same think with Pelini in 2013. He leaves everyone hanging and wondering whether the coach will return, and it leads to a lack of focus among the team.

Two huge things are missing for next year.
1) a good point guard that doesn't turn the ball over and can hit from the perimeter more frequently than Webster and leads the team in assists.
2) outside shooter that open it up inside to Morrow,Jordy and Jacobson and helps McVeigh so he doesn't have to force shots.
