ICYMI. Not Sanders family related but interesting story regarding Warren Sapp.

Odd. I seem to remember you telling us how “Prime” was a great coach and no one would pick Rhule to beat he (and Fickell too) before the season. How the narrative has changed.
We need to beat better than Deion to get where we want to go.

Do you disagree?

Who's a better coach on our schedule than Neon Deion? Some posters on here thought NU was crazy stupid not to hire him.
Both Michigan schools, Minnesota, Lincoln Riley, Rhule’s child molesting alma mater all on the schedule this year

Will be interesting to see if and when we can match Deion’s 9 wins last year - more than any coach has achieved at NU in nearly a decade

I was raised Catholic. Does that mean I get credit for the child sex abuse scandal?

If we played their schedule last week we would have won 2 more than we did this year.

Does it have to be directly enabled? What if it I was unaware of the abuse when it was taking place, but it took place at my church? Are my contributions and money now scathed, am I destined for hell?
Only if you continue to put the head priest who allowed it to go on on a pedestal

Rhule was unaware at the time, but it’s cringe to have him keep talking about Joe Pa like he does. I get it - Joe was considered a legend before everyone found out how he handled the situation. Character is formed by your actions when no one is looking.

We had a HC, put a gun used in a crime, in his desk drawer, keep a rape relatively secret, and had a woman abuser top running back suspended for only 6 games? What is the difference between ignoring horrible behavior vs. aiding and abetting horrible criminal behavior?
It is amazing to me how we, as fans can hold others to a higher standard than the standard we hold our own to.

Horrible is horrible, just don't act sanctimonious when it involves our own vs someone else.

Yeah, but those didn't involve children. Big difference. It's like prison. All kinds of deplorable scumbags in prison who've done all sorts of horrible things. But the child molesters are really frowned upon.

You can justify it all you want, my comment or more directed towards the “ actions when no one‘s looking” of Tom Osborne. But apparently, as long as it doesn’t involve children, then integrity is intact.

It isn’t a justification just because someone points out that these aren’t necessarily moral equivalencies, and they aren’t. There is zero doubt TO was involved with a good deal of character issues and yes, criminals. From what I know, I don’t have a problem with the way LP was handled, and would like to know your issues with the “relatively silent” and what ever happened with the gun?

Tuco is just trying to normalize fondling kids

Most on this board agree with him and believe it’s no big deal

please.

You bitch about Rhule and other Penn St alums glorifying Paterno but the deification of Osborne within the Nebraska fanbase is somehow absolved. It is comical, because it is rationalized by nothing more than well I am a Nebraska fan.

I am not at all defending Paterno's actions nor am I defending Sandusky's sickness, just pointing out the hypocrisy of the Nebraska fan base, especially when Tom Osborne is involved. There is a clear correlation between the Penn St fanbase and the Nebraska fanbase when defending the questionable actions of their high profile coaches. It doesn't matter if you want to try to project the issue toward me. Providing a virtue amongst whores defense is perhaps the lamest of all defenses.

No, there isn’t.

Not even close.

TO was no saint, but his dealings were with adults in isolated incidents.

Joe pa’s best buddy was allowed to knowingly prey upon and ruin the lives of innocent children for decades.

F*ck all the way off with this notion, tuco.

And @timnsun you actually agree with this? Good lord.

The reason I agreed with it is simply because you went full troll by claiming Tuco was trying to normalize fondling kids.

I’m trying to put the best construction on your posts but sometimes you make it impossible to do so with your over the top rhetoric.

You have won. I don’t like myself when I engage with you because you are crazy with your over the top posts. I have no other choice than to put you on ignore for my own sake. Congrats.
