Thomas Allen Commits to Nebrasketball

Conditional offer to KU depending on what 2 or 3 players ahead of him did including Trevon Duval. Have to wonder if Self told him to move on since reports are Cal PG Charlie Moore is transferring to KU. KU needs to pick up a big with one of their two remaining scholies. Erric Bossi has said there is also some qualifying concerns with Allen. Nice pickup for you guys however.
This is false

1. Qualification to Nebraska is harder than Kansas see link
2. Charlie Moore was the back up to Allen

You're dead wrong. Allen was VERY big on KU but the coaches only would give him a conditional offer and told him to wait. He would have been behind Graham, Newman, Vick, possibly Svi (if he returns), Cunliffe, and Garrett. Allen is not a PG and Moore is. That was the hold on KU's end. This from a source VERY close to the program. Take it FWIW.

As for the qualifying, that's an SAT/Core curriculum issue with recruits not school vs
school. Don't know much about it but Bossi said there are some concerns on the KU board last week. Again, congrats on Allen...very good pickup. See ya in December guys!

What does this mean for the program, top guard commits and Timmy is still a dead man walking? Whatever happened to Timmy holding a presser after March madness?
I am thoroughly confused about the leadership in the basketball program.
Happy about the commit, sure, but now what? What's the blueprint to not repeat this chaos?

Let's be honest, like every other big recruit Miles has landed, he chose us because of Kenya Hunter.

I just hope Miles lets Allen and Akenten play through their freshman mistakes next year, as these 2 guys are as good of shooters as this program has recruited in a very long time. If Evan Taylor is still playing 30 minutes a game, I'll be disappointed.

Well said! Let the young kids play. Shooting does matter especially if you are leaving them on the bench for a poor shooter who is not a standout defensive player. Evan Taylor is a nice player at 10-15 minutes a game backing up the one or two guard.

If Miles doesn't get some top quality big men in this summer, I'm worried that he's going to fall in love with a three guard lineup again and play the skinny Ausie as a backup post with Roby getting stuck defending the four.
