What do you want from him? I wasn't pleased but if I was the coordinator I would hope I'd be able to keep it between me and the players and not throw them under the bus.
There are more than the two options of "They were fantastic" or throwing them under the bus. I normally don't give two sh#ts what someone says, but calling them fantastic is goofy.

Football isn't scored by yards, just like the popular vote doesn't mean crap either.

The only reason we were in that position is because the offense failed to make a few first downs and an onside kick being ran to perfection. That can hardly be pinned on the D.

That's stupid. It was all on the D.

I say that every time you talk about your "hubby."

Yeah, it doesn't get much weirder than keeping this ridiculous "Wife" facade thing going. You are a man of the cloth, Tom: start acting like it. By keeping this lie going, you are going against everything that "man of the cloth" represents. Stop doing it.

Rewatched the game last night on BTN 60 minutes version. Defense looked better in 2nd half. In fact the game was in hand and the momentum and score was all N until the last 4:00 minutes of the game. The offensive was flat the last couple of drives.
Wished we would have given some of the other Tbs with fresh legs a turn. They would have put the game away.

I was talking to my hubby and he actually said we should cut Diaco a break. It's not easy protecting the players while at the same time dealing with just how bad things looked on Saturday. Diaco is always going to push the envelope so he added some superlatives about the defense's play that probably weren't necessary. My Tommy-kins thinks we should just give him a break and get things fixed on the field.
You talk to yourself a lot?

Hail Varsity Magazine had a write up on this earlier. Basically the writer said, if you want to see what Nebraska's potential is just rewatch the 3rd quarter. The defense held ASU to 43 yards of total offense on 10 plays and less than 4 minutes TOP in that quarter. The offense was sustaining drives and the defense was getting off the field. If the team can gel, and put that together for 4 quarters week in and week out, this is going to be a difficult team to beat.

Let these guys pretend it's not incredibly worrisome that a Sun Belt team just lit up the defense for 500 yds. It's too early in the season to rip their hope away from them, let them have some enjoyment.

IF they don't keep trying to play 4 LBs against 11 personnel I think they can do fine. If he's gonna be stubborn about having these converted DEs cover slot WRs then it's going to be a long year.

This pretty much sums it up.

Let's think back to 96 at Missouri. Had to have a miracle catch to send it OT. D didn't perform that well that day, but we won and no body was bit__g about that win when we hung up the NC banner
Michigan and Missouri fans still bitch about it.

There's always potential. Hard part is maximizing it for 12 games.

Thank you Rivals for archiving.

Thank you Rivals for archiving.

It doesn't matter what they archive. You'll just take a post that says something like this...

"I would love if Mike Riley were to retire from Nebraska, but he has to win the games.."

(Which is similar to what my original post said).

...and delete a portion of the post, so it looks like this...

"I would love if Mike Riley were to retire from Nebraska."

Thus, completely changing the meaning of the post. No matter how you slice it, that's poor form, and changing a person's post so it supports your argument. Very poor form..

* BTW, don't forget to archive this, so others know what you did..

Except, I quoted his entire post. Oops on your part, group member of room temperature IQ.

No need to archive anything, Rivals takes care of that - the search function actually works.

You're 0-2, within an hour. Keep up the fails, your list never ends.

It was my post, and NO you didn't post the entire post.

Pennsy was correct. You are completely oblivious to context. You took a post where I referred to Mike Riley's affable personality, and somehow surmised that I was enamored with how he coached. You apparently forgot about the other posts in that thread of me being critical of how they finished the recruiting class. Again, context speaks volumes.

Mike Riley is a nice guy. He would still be a nice guy if he were to go 0-12. But it doesn't mean I want him as my head coach...after he barely beats Arkansas State and his team gives up 42 in one half to Oregon. You apparently still think he is worthy of a 4th year, despite all the on-field evidence being to the contrary.

Um, I'm fully aware that Rivals archives everything. I was making fun of you, but apparently it flew right by.

It was NOT your post and yes I did quote the entire thing, you imbecile.

Tom's ENTIRE post, not imbecile du

The rest of your imbecile rambling is just that, imbecile rambling.

Wow, you have so much conflict with so many people that you don't know if you're coming or going. You quoted my post previously, but deleted half of my quote. That is what I'm referring to.

If you're going to quote someone, quote their entire post, not just a portion. And provide some context, because you can completely change the meaning of a person's post by omitting parts of their post. Like I said, it's poor form. Carry on..
