Playing Wisky at home and Ohio State at home in subsequent weeks should have made for fantastic entertainment and a great time to be a husker fan...and as much as we may love the team because of the N, as a collection of staff and players they are unwatchable...boring, uninspired, lacking depth and talent and obviously over-matched against other programs that invest as much as we do. The point of the NU football program is entertainment, the only thing that separates Huskers from Doane Tigers is the high quality football, competition, and spectacle they provide. It seems we have forgot that major college football is about spectacle and not about education, blood, sweat, and tears. Thousands of programs provide blood, sweat, tears, and a better education only a few dozen provide the spectacle of memorial stadium on a saturday night. I fear this has been lost.

I agree the spectacle is lost and it's unfortunate. Putting aside how well-disciplined and good our team was under Osborne, his offenses were just plain fun to watch. I'm tired of us playing close games with terrible opponents and barely being able to move the ball on them. I want to blow out good teams like we used to and enjoy knowing there was no way they could stop us.

We beat Wisky, Tanner Lee's hair on fire and we have a chance.

Either way, without Smilin Mike and Langsdork.

I think our personnel are pretty sound this year, but TO called it, when he gave up his skybox after watching our patty cake practices and garbage preparation.

Sad

Football games are won in the off season and we look like a powder puff football team.

Sad

Yes, it is sad. Beaver fluff-ball simply doesn't work here.
