The sad thing about the home town post

As I read the great home town post with 8 pages of responses I couldn’t help but think of all the posters who grew up in small town Nebraska and moved away. Sadly, these great places we grew up in and which provided so much of our formative years experiences (good or bad), couldn’t sustain us, our ambitions and goals in our adult years. What was once our entire universe is a place now struggling to survive.
