Anyone play game and or watch the series premier? It was every bit as good as the game and had several shot for shot scenes. HBO rarely misses.

My buddies were telling me about this the other day about the new season here or something and the game. I thought they were gonna blow their pants off just telling me about it
I haven't played the game but the sequence when they bugged out in the pickup - it felt like I was watching a video game.
Never played the game, but I loved the game intro. The road signs and references are accurate to real places in the Austin area. the attention to detail was amazing.
I thought it was great, but at the same time wish they spent more than 15 minutes building up to shit hitting the fan.
The Last Of Us is a top 5 game, all time, for me. I would encourage anyone whom loves story, give this a try.
I was shocked/pleasantly surprised when they played one of the Factions multiplayer music pieces - like the exact music in the menu - during one of the scenes. Overall I’ve quite enjoyed it

Had anyone other than HBO produced it, I would’ve been concerned, but they mostly get it right. It will be appointment viewing every Sunday.
Same. The run up to apocalypse was quick. I assume they will knock out the first game in season 1.
Played the game, top 3 for me. If you have 60 hours to spend, the story is fantastic.

Ok, admission time. I'm stupid when it comes to games even though at times I still enjoy them. I'm more of a Donkey Kong era guy - can you just play the Last of Us as a local game? I don't do the online gaming thing. I'm old. Basically once every six months I play Nazi zombies and shoot the hell out of everything, my kids were amazed at how good I got at it.
PS4/5. I don’t do the online thing and get destroyed by 12 year olds in their basement either. And I don’t have time for it. It’s a single player narrative driven game with a good story, graphics and pretty damn visceral. Games have be story driven or immersive to get my time. It’s worth the time.

HAHA I am the same! I quite playing online shooters a few years back. Blood pressure is much better.
Other ones for really engaging story is Mass Effect Legendary Edition - (3 games) and the last 2 God of War games.
I get destroyed by my 10 year old in our basement. Rocket league is the drug of choice right now.
Went through that phase too. My favorite was playing my oldest son in NCAA football when he was like 8, I had to throw the game but make it look good.
One of the best games I’ve ever played, easily. Series is off to a decent start.
