And your model still sucks. The worst thing about this stupid 12-team playoff is the reserved top seeds for conference champions.thats fine, in my model of 4 conferences only 4 teams would be in the playoffs

Making a judgement off the worst teams is not a sound process. If anything yesterday showed me that we need fewer teams. Not a single close game.
Or their selection process needs to be changed.
I'm sorry, you lost me...Making a judgement off the worst teams is not a sound process.
ok 2 conferance dip sheet..whatever...
ok 2 conferences then idiot...learn to grasp the bigger concept in lifeAnd your model still sucks. The worst thing about this stupid 12-team playoff is the reserved top seeds for conference champions.
Ive never understood it either. Why do people insist on taking college football, the greatest sports category in existence, built on being unique. Built on having a regular season that matters. And try to change it into something that resembles a lesser sport? The nfl sucks. The nfl has 32 teams. The nfl has parity. Those things don’t exist in college football. There is no way to make college football resemble the nfl in format. And we shouldn’t want it to. The debates, controversy and flawed system have made college football what it is. Stop trying to change it and embrace it. Everything they’ve done has made it worse. 12 teams is stupid. Oregon already beat Ohio State, Penn state and Boise. Georgia already beat Texas. End this. Give us Georgia vs Oregon, winner take all. Make the regular season great again.
Exactly. Had ohio state beat michigan, oregon would have had to beat ohio state three times possibly to win the natty. Absolutely stupid.Ohio state already lost to Oregon. Why do they get another shot? If you’re better, win the first time. Rematches in college football are stupid. Who did Ohio state play that Oregon didn’t? Indiana? Pft. Who cares? Make the regular season matter. They already played. Oregon won. You shouldn’t get a do over. Add to that Oregon is undefeated. Beat 3 quarter final teams. And Ohio state lost to Michigan. They blew it. I don’t care who would be favored in a single game. I care about who showed up every week and handled their business. Oregon did. Ohio state didn’t. This system of 12 teams does little to reward that.
That wasn’t your model, imbecile.ok 2 conferences then idiot...learn to grasp the bigger concept in life
dumb ass, the B1G and sec need to sheet, piss or get off the pot...this slow grind to 2 conferances is foul at best...if you want the 2 conferance mini nfl...then do it allready....and save all the beeecthing...and wasting folks time...That wasn’t your model, imbecile.
Your incoherent, subliterate rambling is tiresome. You’re arguing with your own submoronic imagination.dumb ass, the B1G and sec need to sheet, piss or get off the pot...this slow grind to 2 conferances is foul at best...if you want the 2 conferance mini nfl...then do it allready....and save all the beeecthing...and wasting folks time...
It's gonna blow. It's gonna be for casuals and gambling degenerates.12 was stupid but it was clearly just to "get it started"
These first round games were amazing even though they sucked. They are going to go to 16, it is going to be ****ing awesome and it is going to become a huge gambling thing like March Madness.
yo mammieYour incoherent, subliterate rambling is tiresome. You’re arguing with your own submoronic imagination.
There is a very good chance neither of those teams makes it past the next round, especially Georgia. The playoff is working even if there are some early blowouts and the seeding needs to be based on the final ranking, not conf championships.most years, college football only needs two teams. Oregon vs Georgia is all we needed this year.
Traditionalists. Using emotions rather than logic.Do people realize they don't have to watch the first round? What is the downside to an extra weekend of meaningful CFB?
If you are talking about reducing the number of teams that get into the volleyball tournament and changing the selection process then your logic would make sense. But as it is you are comparing apples to oranges. Why did Penn State have to play Nebraska again in the Final Four? Penn State beat them 3-1 a few weeks ago, did they really need to have a rematch?
After the Final Four was set, Nebraska should had to forfeit since they already lost to Penn State. Sorry, you lost at their place, you don't get a rematch at a neutral site when the stakes are higher.
For some reason i get the feeling that the rich will get richer they will find away around the 105 and hoard more top playersConferences all want the chance to get a taste of playoff dough. Most years the last 3-4 teams aren’t going to be particularly competitive, but they can hang a playoff banner. The expanded playoff number plus the reality of the transfer portal should produce more competitive play in these first games in the coming years. It’s just going to be harder for the top teams to hoard talent.
Going from 12 to 16 won’t add another round/weekSo it takes 3 weeks for the NCAA basketball tournament to finish..
It’s going to take 4 weeks to finish the CFP. Football has more game planning from one opponent to the next not to mention the physicality of the game alone..
Basketball tournament plays two games with in 4 days and there is one day to prepare for the next game.
Expanding CFP is ridiculous.
Still takes a month to play it, more games more of a chance for key players getting injury’s making more difficult to move on winning the championship.Going from 12 to 16 won’t add another round/week
Anything more than that obviously will
Right?Do people realize they don't have to watch the first round? What is the downside to an extra weekend of meaningful CFB?
This is an interesting take and the opposite of how I look at it. This season, if there were no playoffs or if there was just the 4 teamer, well, the season the was effectively over for about all but 6 teams by week 9/10.Still takes a month to play it, more games more of a chance for key players getting injury’s making more difficult to move on winning the championship.
16 teams would allow more 3 loss teams involved that DEI.
Reason why the regular season should mean something..
Just because the NFL has 9-8 team making the playoffs doesn’t mean CPF needs 16 teams.
Not to mention a 12 team playoff gives us a chance to play for something. Top 2, not a chance. Top 4? No way. Big ten gets 4 in we can at least hope for an Indiana like season.Right?
People posting that it will "blow" are insane. Just don't watch it???
For instance, I could not care at all about volleyball or girls basketball, guess what I do, I don't watch it.
Also, to all the people that think it will blow, but you still post here, guess what, you are going to watch all the first round games.
And according to you, 9 of them are from one conference.Traditionalists. Using emotions rather than logic.
The game has changed. Transfer and NIL means there aren’t just 3 teams that can win it. There’s probably 8-12 each year.
It's the money, networks and gatekeepers at ESPN who is ruining it. I was willing to give it a shot for the campus site first round alone, but when they start campaigning because SMU can't go to Penn St in December I see the writing on the wall. This is gonna be the NFL in a few years and it's going to suck. Once the SEC and Big Ten go to 24 and kill the other 2 conferences, I'm gonna find a different team outside that bullshit.Do people realize they don't have to watch the first round? What is the downside to an extra weekend of meaningful CFB?
