Yea Osborne=bad AD, but in last twenty years we've hired two "true" AD's and what do we get in return- Callahan and Riley. I hate Pelini and Solich (meh) but Pelini and Solich> Callahan and Riley by a wide margin

With this comment you are assuming anyone said Pederson or Eichorst was a good AD. So Nebraska is unable to hire a good coach or AD. Osborne better than Eichorst doesn't equate to Osborne good.

I'm not sure Dave is interested in being Hank's hired hand in the long run.

Concerning Mike Riley, it's very important for him to win today and next week. Hank likes Mike but he's demanding immediate results. Should we lose today, expect fireworks.

(yes, runoff sentence, but I like it) You realize he was fired because he has put the football program in the shitter. And do you realize why the team is in the shitter? Because he hired a coach that was losing at a ridiculous rate in the PAC 12. And he hired him to coach a team that he publicly stated had the players to win championships. Whether he likes it or not, the AD put the expectations on a coach that has never met those expectations at the tail end of a mediocre career spiraling downward. And Riley lived up to expectations. so, now he is stuck in limbo because he is not a good football coach.

The biggest question the need to ask is how much are they willing to spend? There are only a handful of qualified candidates.

Let's look at the funds: First, we have 10 yr contract with Addidas = 128 Million, next is BTN @ 55 million.
