Terps visit the Vault as 5.5 favorites

This may have been mentioned somewhere else, but I just realized the bald ref is Kipp Kissinger who played at Wesleyan in the 90's. Probably doesn't mean anything to a lot of people but I was at Doane around the same time and he was a guy you loved to hate! From Sandy Creek HS, @huskerfan66 might recognize the name.
Yes it is. He does alot of Husker games

Very familiar. Guy actually worked with me in high school on my shot form. Solid dude

I thought kips crew did a good job last time. This time they sure appeared to give Maryland big guy Reese a lot of breaks and weren't calling the offensive wrap around hold by ball handler. But I've seen way worse. Last game I thought we got some home cooking.

BTW, Lotta good athletes through the sandy crack school. They seem to have slumped a bunch in recent years

4* on every site I've found. 4* < 5*. Kong claimed a 5* & McGowens is the only 5* brother of a Husker hoopster I could find.

I believe he was a 5 star before and just slid a little bit. He’s close. I don’t mind the brotherly recruiting strategy either even if it doesn’t always work. We’ve played much better basketball this year with lesser talented players though. I agree with others and think Hoiberg is just doing a more thorough job coaching.

It does suck how bad he’s been with better players because you do need some elite-ish talent to win the cool prizes. He really needs to find the great talent that will still play within the system and the team. That’s been the biggest problem when he gets a decent guy or two.

I threw in the towel about 4 games ago. Was tired of seeing the same crap. Naturally they started to spurt at that time. It’s weird but Hoiber’s kid seems to also have lit a spark too. He’s short, but fundamentally sound and has shown can shoot the ball. The offense seems to have some direction too.

Man, you've missed some fun games.

Fred’s team last season did the same thing. Basically right when Alberts got here around the last quarter of the season we started getting some ridiculous blowout road wins against some really good teams that no one saw coming.

That was with a very different team, so I really think this is a weird pattern with Fred’s coaching/lack there of. I was pissed because from the start of last season I really thought that team could’ve been playing that way much more consistently throughout the year with the talent we had.

That is where the lack of consistency really hurts NU, the banging inside on drives to the basket and rebounding under the basket. Ever since we joined the B1G our opponents have been allowed to be more physical than us. Really hurts us when we have only 1 quality big guy almost every year, when a lot of B1G teams have 2-3.
