Tennessee game day

Taking a trip across Tennessee in early October. Starting in Charlotte then hopefully heading to Knoxville then Chattanooga and ending in Nashville and flying back to Pennsylvania. I just bought tickets to September 30 Tennessee SC game in Knoxville. will be my first SEC game. Any recommendations for game day and where to stay from anyone in the know?
