Tell me again NU isn't being intentionally hosed

BIG XII was on life support when we left and it looked like UT & OU were going to bolt and leave us high and dry. Still am amazed it survived. It made sense to do it at the time. Hindsight is always 20/20.

That had a review on the pass play Neyor couldn't hold on too. They saw Ohio St defender with 2 hands full of jersey during the review then called Neyor and a phantom OPI. So ridiculous

Don't worry guys, this makes it all better:

The official who spotted the ball short of a first down didn't make an error. He knew exactly where he was going to spot that ball before it was ever snapped - and he stuck precisely to that plan.

When one of its darlings is involved, nothing the Big Ten does surprises me. But that sequence of plays at the end of the first half was as orchestrated an effort to keep a team from scoring as I have ever seen.

one thing is abundantly clear, just like it was at the time, in the moment:

when the officials blew that 1st down call, we had 1 timeout. believe the missed call happened with something like 1:20 on the playclock.

instead of Rhule and/or someone on staff immediately calling timeout when it was clear the call was missed, we let 40 seconds run off with our thumbs up our ass.

call timeout, give officials an extra 30 seconds (30 sec timeout) or 3 mins (full timeout) to initiate a review, get the call corrected and get the timeout back.

this is one where we could have and should have taken things into our own hands, but we didn't.

Matt Rhule vs timeouts continues to be the most lopsided matchup we see week in and week out

They had 20 seconds or so to call down. If anything Nebraska should have challenged it. Otherwise they were never going to review it.

Can’t assume anything.

We HAVE to call timeout there. Have to.

If they still don’t review it, at least we did our part.

Coaches can't challenge in the last two minutes can they? And all those first downs/line to gain are supposed to be reviewed at B1G HQ. So how could you win a challenge in that situation if it was already reviewed (allegedly)?

Correct, can’t challenge but CAN call timeout to give the review crew extra time to initiate a review. And if/when they do, the timeout is returned.

We see this every week across the country.

Instead we just looked dumbfounded while the clock kept running.

Inexcusable by all parties - shitty refs and our coaching staff

Duly noted.. What about about the holding call on Butler and the grabbing of Barney jersey being grabbed as on a crossing patten etc etc?

Can’t help those

The bad spot we actually could’ve done something about and just didn’t
