Teddy Owens leaving

Understandable that he wants a coaching role. But given that his dad was a famous coach, you think he would have been able to land a college coaching position somewhere.

Leaving for a high school coaching gig?? The Miles coaching tree is blossoming.

Thats great....give the staff that already has issues coaching something else to focus on instead of coaching.

Or it could mean Boehm has to stay home from the bowl game and focus on basketball.

But wait - according to Sipple, we're all way to hard on Boehm:

"Eichorst said pinning blame on Boehm is "totally unfair, a cheap shot." I agree. After all, Boehm doesn't have a final say in the hiring or firing of coaches, and has no say in player-personnel decisions. He doesn't schedule games, doesn't recruit, doesn't coach."

So none of the basketball program's failings are Boehm's fault, because he has no actual responsibilities. Our bad - what were we thinking?
