Probably time for Teddy to consider retirement.
The kid is a RS freshman. In the context of a college FB career, 1 year doesn't qualify as quite awhile.
Scott has played tackle and Evans is the heir apparent at Center. Uncle Donnie will have to make a decision as to whether Corcoran can cut it on the outside. This possible switch doesn't serve Scott's career goals, but you gotta play your best five.

3 springs but I agree. I was mistaken and Damon Benning says he’s transformed his body over the summer. It just seemed to me like he should be a redshirt junior. He didn’t impress me last year but the talking heads seem to think he can play. I’m usually the last guy on here to dog a young player.

did you attend enough practices in order to not be impressed by a true frosh OL last season? was his work on the FG and PAT teams in Nov really that subpar?
if not, this seems like a good time to say "I was wrong" or "I have no clue" and cut your losses
When the Oline was not a busted unit, a kid entering his RS Sophomore year would get some run in games (maybe a series when the game was still close) if they looked to be a trajectory to start. NU is trying to move from playing true and RS freshman. It's not very conducive to their long term development unless they are very gifted. Evans looks to start as a RS sophomore and is actually looking like the best Oline guy NU has recruited recently. We compete for B1G titles when a kid like Evans is not starting, but is part of a rotation that enters the game in the second half, and then starts his last two years.
I 100% agree that a competent QB should go a long way towards making our OL better. Been thinking that for years. I can't quite talk myself into keeping an open mind about TC at LT though.
Teddy is done. Doubtful he plays another down. Time to hang it up. Guy has had too many injuries.

Unless his movement has improved, I’m not a huge fan of Gottula at LT. To be honest, it really surprised me that they kept him there when he got to campus.

About this time last year I thought Benhardt was the worst, but his OL coach proved me wrong. I have hopes for TC to be at least serviceable for the one year we need.
Why can't he become a primarily blocking TE? His height would no longer be a liability. He is taller than every current NFL OL. Obviously being too tall puts you at risk of leg injuries because of the problem of leverage. If he loses some weight he could be very effective sealing the edge and catching the occasional pass
TC should really be a guard. Gottula is pretty massive and Id like to see if he can win that spot.
Nebraska isn't losing out on Sanders because of NIL. Their offer was on par with both Tennessee and Ohio State.
I don't think they're losing out on him period. Let's see. This should show a need for him even more.

2. Needed (playing time)
3. Loved (fans)
4. Paid (NIL)

Tennessee is a lot closer to home for him and they’ve won more than us recently.
Explain. He's 6-10 315. If he got down to 285ish he could play TE.
Last fall I didn’t think he could move well enough at OT. I don’t think that’s a recipe for success as a TE. Now add another ACL. He should have tried basketball. 😕
I just feel awful for the kid. Early on people were suggesting he could play on Sundays some day. Now? Not so much. Now he’s got premature knee replacements to look forward to.

😡🖕. ….those should work for the jock. 😂. On this board, I would be posting a lot of “I agree” or “good point” or “you made me laugh”. Emojis are a good way to express those things without actually replying.
