She was re-arrested on new charges. She originally bonded out on an improper relationship charge. These new charges are actual assault charges.

So it was like...she let the kid get to second base the first time, then go all the way the next time?

Re-arrested...that is a special kind of stupid. Wonder if it was the same kid

Not sure if same kid, the incidents allegedly happened in 2022 and 2023. But I doubt she quit, I would bet there are others in her wake, they just aren't upset about it and not pressing charges

A note from one of my kid's parents. I remind you this is an 8 student classroom where they only go to specials with an escort from a paraprofessional.

"He is feeling better with his allergies, but this time change is really affecting his sleep. He is very whiny this morning" This is a 4th grade male student.

These are your problems to take care of mom. I have no control over you putting an allergy medicine in your kid, nor do I have control over what time you put your kid to bed to prepare him for the time change. When did parents just straight up stop parenting?
It is the ease of communication that changed it all. I know this particular one was a note BUT the ease of emailing has made it so parents, not all of them, but some have this idea that they are your boss and that they can tell us what to do.

I feel like, in my experiences, that the worst teachers love to become admin and end up also being the worst administrators.

I feel like you should have to teach in the classroom for at least 10 years before becoming a principal.

The teaching profession is the only one I know where as a teacher you can be universally loved by your peers, but on Day 1 of becoming an administrator they are universally hated.

My taxes pay for your salary so you will do as I say!!!

Just kidding, anyone who says that should be tossed into a lake.

She was simply giving him permission to be a dick today because you know, allergies and time change. Like everyone else in the class isn't dealing with the same thing.

They deserve it with the $$ they make…and let’s not kid ourselves, as soon as they become admin they are POSITIVE they became twice as smart overnight as well as becoming master teachers.

I won’t even talk about district administration….oh wait actually I will. Those people are a combination of clueless, getting away from actually educating as soon as they could, and also thinking they are the smartest people in the district, while also making crazy money and working approximately 15 minutes a day.

The % of teachers that get into administration because they hate teaching/students/coaching is staggering.

Have you ever seen admin cover classes WILLINGLY? Almost never happens.

That is probably pretty accurate. The problem is that those teachers that hate you now, were once sitting with you making fun of all the same shit, ripping on stupid development ideas and so on and so on.

I had 17. I honestly did not enjoy being a HS principal in the public sector in spite of the best staff in the state hands down. If you are going to do the job right it takes tons of hours and a constant push for superior education, you can't just go with the flow.

You sound a lot like my friend I was telling you about earlier. Great coach and nice guy. He constantly dissed administration as not knowing what was going on. When he found out I was getting my license to admin he asked when I was getting my frontal lobotomy. In his mind, admin was evil and had forgotten everything about education. Two things came to my mind after he left and things came to light - he got by with a lot because he was a good and well liked coach and he had to idea who was doing what in other rooms and didn't care. Teachers all want to think the other teachers are at least as good as they are, all of them.

I happened across a video today of a guy asking some basic history questions to two ladies who turned out to be late grade school age teachers who didn't know the answers. Their comments were, we don't teach the curriculum, we teach DEI and all that sort of stuff. The are out there.

My wife was an elementary teacher for 40 years and still subs occasionally, all at Catholic schools. Accountability in those schools with regards to students and parents is much better than in public schools. This isn't going to surprise most teachers but in my opinion education in public schools won't improve much until some kind of incentive is found to make parents be more accountable for their kids' behavior in school and homework after school. Absent that, US test scores will continue to underwhelm.

And again, in general, admin are the worst teachers.

100% agree. It’s a 50/50 relationship for child success in school. My daughter has math packets that take quite a bit of time - we sit down and go through it together. She has kids who publicly state their parent does the packet for them to hand in? Seriously? Sad, some parents don’t take a more active role. Though I will say if the child has a single mom or dad - it would be really difficult to put the time in as a parent.l who works full time. But that’s a whole other convo!

i’m in my 50th year of teaching American History… i have had great admins and brutal ones… the ones who don’t know subject but want direct your path are the worst
Ha, that was one of the first things I told teachers. I said I am not the subject knowledge expert, you are. I said that I am the support for what you need to do that extremely well. If I gave them all the support they asked for and we still didn’t get the right results, then we needed to find out why which rarely happened.

I am not going to lie but his response almost made it worse, not better.

Admin: Cover classes when needed. Don't worry about the "learning target" being posted, stop asking for lesson plans unless you think there is some huge issue and mostly just be there to support us and help us out. It is amazing how all of that can be forgotten in one summer.

At 50 years in, the admin should not even talk to you about teaching, they should just shoot the shit with you and be happy you are still there.

A teacher has quit after admitting he watched porn during a physics lesson attended by 13 and 14-year-olds, even though he said it was 'unintentional'.

Fascinating. Unintentionally watching porn. I wonder if he gives himself unintentional colonoscopies.

Women that pretty have all sorts of options available to them, so why they prey on young males is beyond me. Having said that the effect of a young female being groomed is much different than the effect on a young male. The punishment should be the same, don't get me wrong.
Yeah, she did not prey on him and he was not groomed. He was not "tricked" into her sucking his dong.

Ha
