we've went with the guys who performed exactly as expected. yknot try the outliers? maybe throw that other te in there also? i'm fine with trying bigoot -just make him run it and throw bombs to palmer and co.
Have nothing against the kid but this just reinforces what a complete F up SF and cigar man were. There are three scholarship QB's who are sitting on the bench which doesn't mean they didn't earn it

Georgia’s national championship QB was a walk on. I would guess he had D1 offers though.

All Truman did was hand off. This kid can sling it. What’s amazing to me is how thin NU was at QB in a national championship year. THEN Tom had to resort to a transfer in Frost at the end.

At this point what harm can it do? If nothing else it might inspire the other QBs to get their shite together.
OR Maybe Synek has developed more quickly. He was a very good high school QB who passed quite a bit as I recall.
Giminy Crickets. He threw for over 5000 yards at Hastings and averaged over 180 yards passing per game over his career. Had quite a few rushing yards too. Almost 3000 yards passing his senior year…..that’s a lot
I get the whole "Everyone's favorite QB is the backup QB" thing, but the backup guys ahead of him aren't getting it done, so yeah, roll the dice. As an untested RS QB he's still better than Petras.
Mikey Pauley seemed like an intriguing prospect when he signed to play baseball. Had football offers from the 2 Kansas schools.

With Frazier starting as a true frosh in '92 and clearly an upcoming star, it was probably pretty tough for TO to get kids to want to come in to compete, at least until Frazier was an upperclassmen. If memory serves, a big factor in the thin QB roster was Ben Rutz transferring out, which was due to not wanting to sit behind Frazier.
