Wow, that's amazing... the people I happen to agree with I don't call out? Stop the presses, I'm sure that's unheard of!i notice lots of people who post the same thing over and over again. don't see you calling them trolls. my guess - their viewpoint more aligns with yours.
But to your point, there are trolls on both sides. Some I just ignore, some are hard for me to ignore. For example, I don't think every person who posts negative stuff about the coaches is a pelini fan. That's not a place I go to when I question another person's post. If you aren't a fan of these coaches, that doesn't make you a pelini lover by default. Do I call out the posters who make those statements? No... that's just not a battle I want to fight.
What I do struggle with are the posters who have never given the coaches a chance. The ones who still aren't happy in spite of some of the changes that will hopefully make us better.
I don't agree with a lot of what people say, but don't necessarily post against them. The ones I do post against typically show a pattern of negativity, and as an optimist I respond.
When I think of a troll, I think of someone who is consistently posting negative stuff about the coaches. There's a pattern there. Maybe I'm wrong in my definition. I will admit that I probably could stand up for the players more, and I think I will more next year, as these coaches will be in year 3 with most of their own players. A big part of that is having their own QB and a healthier and deeper Oline. The explanations will run out and if things don't work then we will be looking at more excuses.
Edit: to clarify my final thought, what I meant is I think right now there are explanations for what's going on. If the same thing continues to happen in the future, the explanations will go away. Then it will be just excuses, which is not acceptable.
