So the halftime entertainment is for the 1500 NFL players? It's almost like the NFL is acknowledging that the majority of players are black. How crazy is that!

GVF sounds like Led Zeppelin who were one of the most popular bands of all time. If that doesn't have popular appeal, then I really don't know what does. Not that GVF is anything close to my favorite band, but I think they would do fine. I'm beyond sick of the rap/black fetishization and it needs to die. It's hijacked American culture and we're worse off for it.I listen to a little hip hop, rap and other black artists. I like 50 cent, Eminem and a huge Beastie Boys fan (RIP MCA), so I can appreciate the music, but as has been stated Kendrick Lamar does not have widespread appeal. It would be like the Grammy Award winning band The Strokes or Greta Van Fleet doing the halftime show and expecting people to like it. I just think the NFL is attempting to relate to the NFL player rather than the part of the NFL fan base that actually pays the bills.
Are the fans aka the money that supports said players mostly black? Running a business on what the employees like over the consumer will doom said business .. I know you’re super woke, but c’mon- use some common senseIt's almost like the NFL is acknowledging that the majority of players are black. How crazy is that!

GVF live is nothing like the radio version or the album version. The singer is way more screamy than Plant. To the point of a headache. I love Greta Van Fleet on the radio and on my music devices, but live I was not impressed.GVF sounds like Led Zeppelin who were one of the most popular bands of all time. The Super Bowl audience is far from it. The Super Bowl is the one time non-football fans tune in primarily for the halftime show. That is why advertisers pay massive sums for a broadcast spot. Choosing an artist that most people have never heard or even heard of is a big mistake. Also, many shows were collaborations to try to appeal to a wider audience. It's almost like the NFL is acknowledging that the majority of players are black. How crazy is that!

Your really need to "understand what was being said" to like music? I don't. I bet you don't know half the lyrics to your favorite songs. My wife and I laugh all the time about the dumb lyrics we've made up to well known songs. Leading off, of course, with "Blinded by the light, wrapped up like a douche...."Worst Ive ever seen.
Cant believe they paid someone to
Put that together.
Had to turn on the captions to help understand what was being said.

My wife will treasure her memory forever of my oldest son belting out "We built this City" by Starship. Instead of singing "We built this city on rock and roll" he would sing " We built this city on raw candles!"When I was a very young man and Glen Campbell came out with Rhinestone Cowboy and I was singing along loudly in the kitchen with my mom...the line where he says he gets cards and letters from people he doesn't even know...I belt out "getring carrots and lettuce from people I don't even know....pretty sure my mom is still laughing in her grave.

Having Serena Williams, Drakes ex dancing on stage during the Drake diss song was kinda funny. Other than that a pretty boring halftime performance
Sorry to say, that was the worst performance of all time. I just can’t relate to this kind of genre.Having Serena Williams, Drakes ex dancing on stage during the Drake diss song was kinda funny. Other than that a pretty boring halftime performance
