So after this last game we had a remarkably successful recruiting weekend. A soft commit DB and a punter.
The rest of the conference is shaking with fear at the success.

Come on now, be nice. Can you honestly say that you are pleased with recruiting? It seems like trolling but I am just trying to get a sense of how others feel about recruiting. Sorry if I hurt anyone's feelings.

If you want the sense of how people feel about recruiting then start a thread and ask, "How does everyone feel about recruiting?"

You didn't ask, therefore your post was a classic attempt to troll.

I know this isn't popular among all posters but I prefer to wait and see what happens come signing day. I do think we will have a really good class. I'm not bothered by where we're at right now at all.

And thanks for playing along with my joke... Just trying to have a little fun. :)

Sorry HuskerO but it wasn't an attempt to troll. Just an expression of disappointment with the last big game recruiting weekend.

What did you expect? What high profile recruit difference maker was in attendance was going to pull the trigger to make you happy?

Did you expect to have some big commits between Friday's game and yesterday? Also which is it, what you said above or. ...
I am just trying to get a sense of how others feel about recruiting.
Probably the former, which is fine. IMO just kind of tacky how you tried to 'express' your disappointment, then turn around and say you just wanted others' opinions.

But back to the topic, like others have said above, let's wait and see how our recruiting class looks in February. Just like we did with Bo his first few years.

We lost the game and are now 5-7, I would say getting one recruit from that scenario is good.

As far as the rest of the conference shaking, they sure weren't shaking with Pelini coaching or recruiting. Shaking with laughter maybe.

Who would have though that a late November trip to Nebraska wouldn't have had all the high profile recruits ready to sign on the dotted line. Color me Fckin surprised.

To answer Dingleberry with a question, why weren't there high profile recruits at the game?
What is normal procedure for a day after thanksgiving game? What has the past looked like? Asking cuz I don't know. Do we traditionally have a high volume of recruits in? Or is it more challenging cuz it's a holiday? Anybody know?

This was an attempt to troll. Reread your OP, it's lathered with contempt for the staff's recruiting efforts, as well as your disapproval of the 2 commits we did get. Quit peeing on our legs and insisting it's raining.

I'll help you out. Why, I do believe you're right. This staff is failing at recruiting, and it's never going to get better. They should have hired (or not fired) *insert coach's name* that you told us we should have hired (or kept). I, and the rest of us that support the program, should have heeded your wisdom and not allowed the University to make the hires they did. We're ever so sorry.

If you are satisfied with the recruiting success then you are delusional. Of the recruits listed overall two are soft commits. The previous coach was no wizard at recruiting either.
Is it more important to accuse me of trolling than to admit the disappointment in the recruiting? Is that really the issue here or do you just want to get the number of posts increased on your heading?
I was, once again and slowly for you, simply commenting on what I call a disappointing recruiting weekend. If you take that as trolling I apologize but it was not my intent.

I think the point is it's not February yet.

Before you "hit the road Jack" ALL programs have soft commits and ALL programs have decommits. Plenty of talent still out there to be had and plenty more on teams whose head coach has been let go. Lets see how things are after the first Wednesday in February and then perhaps your comments will hold some water.

Tom HP,
ALL programs? Really? I just pulled the first two I thought of in the Big Ten. Wisconsin.
21 commits and NONE listed as soft. Michigan State, 17 commits, NONE as soft.
Hmmmm.........

True, but so far we've seen a coach who was going to "coach up talent" and would easily win 8-9 games...win 5.

We've seen a coach who had trouble recruiting to Oregon State because it is apparently cesspool or something and can't compare with Nebraska's draw. "Just imagine what Riley will do with Nebraska's resources," they said.

Well, Oregon State is currently ranked #31, and Nebraska is #40. Granted Oregon State has 5 more commits but I digress.
Now I know where you stand... You can continue to wring your hands now and I will wait til February. If Oregon state is still ranked higher, I will start a thread praising you. But I digress.

Gutless recycled trolls sure get old. Your name is new but your act is old.

Too many people on this board will resort to personal insults as evidenced by the above posts. If you post an opinion or thought that isn't with the mainstream it is called trolling. That doesn't seem to be the "Husker Way"

Wrong, again. When you act like an idiot, you will be treated as such.

Can we just say welcome to these guys and hope they will be studs in the mold Amukamara and Foltz?

Welcome aboard future Huskers!

I do understand people want to be positive but I do not think it is anyones best interest to look the other way when stuff is not going well - I am concerned about recruiting, maybe they will do great but consider this - We have three TE's rated 3 stars from NE - two of them are from Lincoln and two of them hold NU offers - Yet they are showing as committed to ASU,IOWA and KSU respectably so all have D1 schollies. NU is offering a TE out of Minnesota who is listed as a QB
If we cannot even hold our own with kids from Lincoln then how in the heck are we going to be able to outside the state and recruit well

TE's should be an easy get for this offense

And yes, I hope they are like the above mentioned. In some respect I agree with some coaches who feel that there should be some binding commitment available prior to NSD.
