Was Bill Walsh in over his head at Stanford? Another spectacular well thought out post.

Not sure what your point is, genius. Bill Walsh is one of the legendary NFL coaches of all time. Mike Riley was one of the worst. So were Callahan and Kiffin. I'm sure they know a ton about football, but they were in over their heads as NFL head coaches, and they are in over their heads as major-college head coaches.

For the record, Walsh's 2nd stint at Stanford ended with 4-7 and 3-7 seasons. Perhaps the game had started to pass him by in his mid-60s?
