1. Very excited to have frost as coach
2. Completely realize that you just can't turn feelings off with the snap of a finger
3. It's a very fine line scott has to walk with thIs transition between honoring his former team and earning the respect of his new team and I respect how scott has handled it all so far. He really has said all the right things.
But
This coaching his old team in the bowl game is starting to give me an uneasy feeling. I know he and his staff has probably earned it, but they have a whole new head coach at UCF and our coaches are out recruiting their tales off everyday for donu. Makes me really wonder what the new coaching staff of UCF feels about it too.
Part of me says this is a huge win because we get tons of publicity from the bowl game against auburn no less. But almost everytime I hear scott in an interview he just gushes over his old team. That worries me a bit that his "new" team may feel a bit like they're taking a backseat to this whole thing. I really do hope this works out perfectly, but everyone is really going to have to be doing and saying the right things to make this smooth.
I think you can get away with this scenario at a lower profile school but this is going to be a chore to keep everyone happy at a school like Nebraska. I sure hope this works out.
