Some "fans" seem to be openly excited about the Huskers current struggles. I am 100% positive some are hoping for the struggles to continue. They're like pyromaniacs. They can't get enough of the bad news. Some even manufacture scenarios, twist them into fact and then debate them as such. I guess it is a sad way to get ones rocks off and is pathetic.

Are the Huskers struggling? Yes. Would it be more exciting to have them turn it around and have been there the whole time supporting them? Yes.

Sadly, too many fans are more obsessed with proclaiming how "smart" and "right" they are than being fans of the team they supposedly root for.

I'm confident many would have zero courage or guts to say some of their "informed rants" to the faces of the players or coaches.

I'm not talking about truly informed and balanced analysis. I'm taking about the broken record fan narcissists, who have little to offer than enjoying throwing gas on a fire to watch a bigger show.

We see obvious agendas in the sports media but sports fan narcissism is far more poisonous.
It does nothing to help the 2017 Nebraska Cornhuskers improve this season. At this point, that is my focus as a fan.

Root for 2017 success or bust.
