Preface with all the usual I am not trying to be a Juan Dixon or anything but I wanted to pass along some non-coaching search related information.
The short version is that Mike Riley may be allowed to resign and may take an athletics role afterwards.
The contact comes from someone within the booster circle and is a more sensitive subject than contract numbers with whatever coach.
Apparently, Dee Riley's health issues have been more severe than kind of previously known/reported allergies and that fact has been weighing on Riley. According to my source, she has not been living at the house most of the year. They said that this may let Riley resign rather than go through the public issue of a firing. The source was saying that there may also be a role in the future to provide some stability and healthcare for Dee.
Again do not run me off to Chile if he is officially fired in a few days, but it was a fairly reliable take given by someone I trust. Could obviously be wrong.And obviously the best wishes to both on Dee's health should these be true.
