Nah, championships is all I care about. But I'm more of a "traditional" Husker.
Your West division trophy looks just like our Legends trophy. And we happen to have 2 Gator bowl trophy's... You know the one that you tried to play for last year against Tennessee.
So am I just understand we are now in a new conference that covets it's trophy games.
You might want to re-calculate that without the QB sacks and the gingantic loss off the bad shotgun snap - but then, that might spoil a perfectly good finger-wagging.
And yeah, let's hang the loss on Fyfe instead of the idiotic game plan that put him in position to turn the ball over six times. Did Fyfe dupe the coaching staff into thinking he could execute that game plan?
And the only way Nebraska could sniff a bowl game was because of the APR scores...not the results on the actual football field. Yeah...it really stinks to be Iowa today.
Nebraska should have beaten Iowa this year, but then again we should have beaten 9 or 10 teams this year, but didn't. I don't think either Iowa or Mich St is in the same league as the other three in the final four.

The passing attempt numbers were skewed by being down in the 4th and having to pass. Yea these coaches are so bad that we had the second best offense in the big ten with a potato QB, a poor OL, and very average RBs.
We shall see, you guys are so bitter toward Nebraska. All you can say is this isn't the 90's anymore...blah blah blah. We will be back and as bad as you Hawkeyes think we are you had your best team in your history and you beat a 5-7 Nebraska team by 8 and you still thump your chest, and guess what your best team ever and still are not playing for anything. Get real.
And why were we so far behind to open the fourth quarter? You just said it was because of all the turnovers - which were a direct result of a ridiculous game plan..
Interesting argument - we wouldn't have passed so much against Purdue if we just hadn't thrown an INT every other series and had to play catch-up! Therefore the game plan was just fine - because... stats from other games!!!!

We don't need moral victories. Shocking on how Hawks think nebraska is a past gone power and suck and so on...but we still lead in wins in head to head since joining....Whats that make Iowa...... Nothing like the Hawk fans, always will be our little baby brother that needs attention...
I don't think you're a gone power. You just aren't a current power. You will be back. But you're not yet. And as far as our recent head-to-head record goes, Northwestern was a pest and had our number a long time. I don't think any of us were ever itching to become them.

This is so pathetic. IMO 83 was one of our best teams. What was the score of our regular season final against a pedestrian OU team? How about 97 and Davidson's scoop against an, um, average Mizzou. Countless other games could be sighted during our pretty glorious run through the 80s and 90s. I truly am confused- are our talking points changing? so is Iowa a rival now? They seem to be all many of you get preoccupied with.

We play them again and good Tommy shows up, we win the game! I don't think Iowa is a Rival to Nebraska, I think Nebraska fans think of a few other teams as rivals besides Iowa. But for Iowa, they absolutely hate Nebraska with a passion and apparently your not to big of a fan either They think we are a rival big difference.
Your incorrect. Went to my first Husker game against Wake Forest on 1970, and hundreds since. The real Situation is we are sitting way behind Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Iowa State in their world...heck arguably behind Illinois and MSU- (Mich too - if realignment didn't mess with things). Gonna take decades to dent into series that have been played for a century. Look no further than PS, they still haven't displaced any traditional rivalries in the conf and they are 25 years in. We're gonna be a black sheep for a long time. Hopefully we'll fair better than PS. Lots better- heck, Iowa has won more than they have lost against that 'blue blood' since PS joined the conf.
I have no problem giving our guys credit- or the other team, but I'm not sure you understand what went on schematically... Even a good Tommie would be throwing into 7-8 man coverages against Iowa unless we could run it down their throats(which we couldn't/can't). We walked right into it. The game was lost before it started because of our sideline and present personnel.
