Thought I addressed Pelini, not any assistants...?? Regardless, I stand by my comment with the head coach, but don't know (yet) about assistants.
Pelini-YSU - 20% chance
Paps- UNC - 5%
Warren- UNC 5%
Cotton- UNLV 0% still has a kid on the team
Garrison- UNLV - 0% dont see it
Beck- OSU - 0% has bigger fish to fry
IIRC those not employed (by a university as a coach).
Kaz - 60% bitter and has anger issues
Fisher - 10% seems like he was a good guy but maybe he is bitter or having trouble finding work
Brown - 0% cares too much about NU
It's not a rumor.

Name the coach who is doing it, pos IMO. Lewis should be shown the door with his crap.
It is coffee boy. Not surprising. Totally expected, actually.Name the coach who is doing it, pos IMO. Lewis should be shown the door with his crap.
I missed what you had said regarding Bo. Can you restate it?
Read above, sounds like Pap. The guy that was never qualified for any of the jobs he held here.
He didn't go into a lot of detail in the thread that I saw it addressed on... someone asked basically the same question that was asked in this post about Pelini not getting paid....HuskerTimOmaha said that it wouldn't change anything and that he would get paid as scheduled...
I trust Tim's info, but I am sure that no contract would give an outgoing coach carte blanche to say and do anything that may damage the university. There have to be some restrictions. Bo is psycho, but I doubt he would risk his future and what is left of his reputation, which is next to nothing.
That was my point earlier in the thread. Most severance agreements have clauses pertaining to making critical comments about your previous employer.
That is totally believable and consistent with that "us against the world" mentality. Very unprofessional. Why sabotage those kids' chances for success? Obviously, they don't care much about their former players to do such a thing. His source who he trusts, says that there is in fact a coach from the former staff who is contacting the players and "stirring the pot". Foreman said as much in a tweet earlier and insinuated so in an interview on Sharp and Benning this morning. Doesn't shock me if true. Just proves how unprofessional the prior staff was.

Agreed, but that usually means public statements. Good luck on proving it if the comments were in a private conversation. Unless someone has a secret recording. After Bo got burned with that before, I don't see that happening.
You're right, it probably is nonsense. Why, I bet what ever pap is saying is only helping the situation, not making it worse. So embarrassing that we are automatically assuming papuchis is hurting rather than helping the situation...This entire conversation is embarrassing and just gossipy nonsense. I'm sure there is some chirping from former coaches, but that's not why we are losing. Moving on to Saturday. GBR.
Whiny excuses. Coach better, play better. You're right, it probably is nonsense. Why, I bet what ever pap is saying is only helping the situation, not making it worse. So embarrassing that we are automatically assuming papuchis is hurting rather than helping the situation...
- Jay ForemanIf you're not all in.......then you need to get 100% all out.
You see, the difference between you and me is that I can agree with you, to a point. There have been some real head scratching moments this season where if the coaches would have done things differently we would be in a different place as well. I can admit that.Whiny excuses. Coach better, play better.
Exactly. It's where I pulled it from.......and it makes sense.- Jay Foreman

But if former coaches are stirring the turds, this does not help. Even if coaches are making the right calls, said players may not be fully invested any longer. Are you saying this is not a possibility and that it doesn't hurt the team at all? Think about it before you post... I don't want you to post right away and look even dumber...
Pap always was a problem child. The guy always reminded me of a douchebag, sleaz ball salesman. Between him, Bo, and Kaz, we had staff that was just waiting to implode. The inability to stay professional was astonishing with that staff.Read above, sounds like Pap. The guy that was never qualified for any of the jobs he held here.
Got it. So the players are looking past the nonsense too, is that it?This entire conversation is fodder for message boards, talk radio and social media, and its pretty F'n weak. The current issue involving the former staff is the talent on the field. Its lacking. If you cant look past the nonsense and work with what is tangible, thats on you and the other excuse makers of this world.
Any time!! CoolGot it. So the players are looking past the nonsense too, is that it?
Lack of talent, poor coaching, injuries, etc. These are all the issues. There is no possible way former coaches contacting players has an affect on anything. Thanks for clearing that up.
As I stated in another thread, you need to understand the difference between an excuse and an explanation. There are a lot of reasons the team is experiencing what it is experiencing today. You can call some or all of them excuses if you want, but they all explain what is going on in Lincoln right now. It's not just one thing. And to proclaim that former coaches contacting current players is f'n weak as another explanation of what is wrong in Lincoln right now is F'n weak as far as I'm concerned.
Everyone would be fine with the prior staff talking to our current players as long as it's positive reinforcement. The problem though is what certain coaches from the previous regime are saying to our players.Should Barney be banned from talking to his kid who is on the team?
Should Barney be banned from talking to his kid who is on the team?
Should Barney be banned from talking to his kid who is on the team?

Yes. I don't care what relationship it is.. Make sure this doesnt happen. There is no way they should have any sort of contact during the season. After he graduates they can reestablish their father son relationship, but until then there is a potential for poisoning the water.
