Negative.

So you're saying that if he was in the video it would be okay?
So, I am 20 and my ex girlfriend has a tape of her and some other dude having sex when they were 15. The dude sends me the video and says this is me and "insert name here" having sex when we were 15. I keep if for a few years and then send it to her and say, remember this ho?

I am in possession of child porn. I distributed child porn. It isn't rocket science.

In point of fact nobody is saying that because he'd still be 18 and she'd still be 15 at the time of the video. People all over this thread are acting like nobody should care that he hung onto this video he never should have had for 3 years.

I like how many of you guys are failing to piece it together that your girlfriends/wives, daughters, sisters, etc. have probably ALL sent stuff like this to their boyfriend at the time. You boys telling me it's no problem if her ex texts her back an old video of her giving him the business now that she's with you? You're cool with that?

What % of high school kids do you think do it? Honestly.
Doesnt matter in this thread, and theres no way for you or me to prove it. Theres too many factors as well as Im sure it differs by state and school, etc.
Lets just agree its probably lower than you think and higher than I think and leave it at that. I just ask you try to have a higher opinion of teenagers and realize that there really are people out there who have actual morals and do live by them, something you have proven to be unable to accept or comprehend.

I dont think this gets Mo off the hook here. This was malicious, and he kept this video knowing that police knew about it!

I really doubt the video actually was of her being assaulted. I mean, the police and the school saw the video and ultimately expelled her from school and no charges for SA or rape were brought forward.
His own lawyers words...

The narrative put forth today is that Mr. Washington used a video as a weapon to re-victimize his former high school girlfriend. That is not true. Without a doubt, Mr. Washington had absolutely nothing to do with that sexual assault.

Can you send me a link that shows she was expelled from the school? The only thing I have read is that she can no longer go to that school. That could mean that her family decided to pull her out of the school to avoid the ridicule and embarrassment, similar to what some parents do when their teenager gets pregnant.

Such a low opinion of women, WOW.

But I agree Mo is wrong here.

And that constitutes a felony and branding a sex offender?? C'mon
If the shoe fits by the laws of the land. Frankly I don’t care about that. It was an awful and amoral thing to do, IF he indeed sent it with the reported message
He should NOT be kicked off the team. We haven't even heard his side and we've got masses clamoring for it to be taken out of Frost's hands. Ridiculous.

I sense some racial undertones to this as well. Seems that Mo being black and the "victim" being white is a big problem for some people on here. Had the player been white and been accused, I think this would be a non-issue. Sad, but true.
bs. Race has no bearing on repugnant behavior. Anyone of any race that so maliciously targets a girl(or defends or rationalizes it) is a pretty undesirable human.

Completely different. Mo received the video as a minor. You're not taking that into account. He is the same age as the people in the video are now. You're not taking that into account. I'm not saying he is right for what he did (he clearly isn't), I'm just saying that treating it as child porn is ridiculous. Besides, he is either still 18 or just turned 19, right?

I think that is the lawyer trying to cover his bases since the family is still considering pushing SA or rape charges.

Then he’s a bad lawyer, incident suffices, his words make it look even worse.

I cant believe some of the stuff Im readig here.

Mo held on to a threesome video involving a 15 year old that caused a firestorm at his high school, and sent it to her maliciously as an 18 year old three years later. That is plain awful, dumb, and sorry but its child porn.

I agree this girl probably is not a saint and is lying about a few things. Shes no winner, I agree. But that doesnt matter. Mo did what Mo did.

If nothing else comes to light and this is all true, you boot him. You can eait and see what the courts find, etc...but if this is true you cant overlook it.

The full NBC Bay Area report is here. You can read a heartbreaking essay by the alleged victim, who says she was expelled from King’s Academy after the principal of the school confronted her about the video, here.

It was wrong, but it's not something that should get him kicked off of the team. Race absolutely plays a part, especially in a case like this.

It seems he has officially been charged with possession of child porn. Though no arrest warrant has been issued.
My humble opinion is no. This is sounding more and more like his ex had a threesome, the boys spread it around to friends to brag. Mo being one of them one of those who was sent the video. She got caught and now to save embarrassment is claiming assault. The video should easily be able to tell if she was willing or not.
He tried to get back with her, she said she is not interested, he gets pissed. Sends the video and calls her a hoe.
This was a horribly stupid decision on his part. However, I would venture to guess if you go on any 14- 17 males phones you would find some sort of "child porn" on a high percentage of them. Mo shouldn't be labeled a sex offender for the rest of his life, nor have to suffer the rest of his life for a stupid teenage decision.
My concern is the search warrant, and what that turns up ...

Nice deflection, now carry on assuming everyone has the same lack of morals or self control you do.
The irony is that you are usually pretty rude towards me and judgemental and even mean...yet I don't act that way towards you. Hmmmm

Well...maybe a bit with the planet joke, but that was just funny.

Again, what I read is "forced to leave the school". Larry and Mabel were forced to take their kid from their local high school because she was pregnant. The pregnancy forced them to move, not administration.
READ. I even quoted the portion of the article. It clearly says "expelled."

Not at all. Redshirt him in 2019, give him sensitivity training or some shit like that, and then unleash him in 2020 on Nebraska's way to the CFB Playoff.

To win, you have to play dirty. Bring on the cocaine, strippers, and steroids. We back, baby.

I don't understand why we can't have a debate and talk without everything going to insults and attacks. That is the problem with society today. Nobody knows how to have a conversation with someone who may not agree with their views. Instead they instantly try to attack the other person and insult them.

If you don't know it's a crime to not pay your taxes does the IRS go, "Oh ok lol well in that case!"
It's not illegal to not pay taxes. It is illegal to knowingly lie about your taxes.

In my opinion, he should be suspended immediately until everything is sorted out. Unless everything is complete lie, he obviously did some things wrong that are worth punishment.

No.

What he did was wrong to shame the girl(allegedly)....but there are a lot of us that apparently would be in serious trouble if they were able to uncover what was on our computers and phones as a senior in high school.

Suspended until investigation is over. If their was malfeasance it won't matter what the University does his ass will be in jail.

Furthermore, young people's lives are ruined all the time by laws, we just don't see it because 99% of people are not in the public eye. It's simply amazing how the same people who preach personal responsibility will give people a pass if they play for their sports team.
