Who remembers waking up early to watch some good Saturday morning cartoons? It's a shame that this is long gone today.

Count me in… Dungeons and dragons was probably my favorite, I also liked Thundarr the barbarian and so many others. Transformers was awesome. But I don’t remember of transformers with Saturday morning. Space coast was great, same as super friends… So much to watch.
I wasn’t a Looney Tunes guy, but there was good stuff there as well.

I remember always getting up earlier than I had to for school just to watch cartoons in a dark living room. 6 a.m. The Jetsons was on and The Globetrotters were after. 7 a.m. The Superfriends came on. I never missed them. I think it was at 9 a.m. when Looney Toons started. Watching Bugs Bunny and Yosemite Sam and the rest with my dad was the best. My dad would be drinking his coffee and laughing his ass off. Great memories.

oh yeah back in the late 1960’s they were great compared Today’s cartoons are trash
Totally different approach of what they are used for.

Tom and Jerry vs South Park
Mickey Mouse vs Peter Griffin
Care Bears vs Big Mouth
He-man vs Space Ghost Coast to Coast

Technology has changed
Politics have changed
Society has changed

Popeye the Sailor doesn't really fit today's theatrics. Personally I like some of the new cartoons, some not so much

F is for Family
Big Mouth

Are two of my favorite shows on Netflix

My first thoughts on this were Superfriends and Looney Tunes, both legendary. I'll add the Laff Olympics, Muttley was my favorite 😃

The irony for me, when the cartoons ended and college football came on, I would cry and carry on and go outside.

Apparently the good ones were all gone by the time you were watching the toons.

Xmen, transformers and ducktails

Born in 1981

Saturday morning cartoons.. Great times

The birth of the cartoon network killed the experience. Me and my boys pretty much watch the same lineup I watched in the 70's and 80's and they love it. The content today is just so different nowadays but my boys prefer at ladder..

I miss that womanizing bastard Pepe le pew, some foghorn leghorn and could watch roadrunner and coyote forever. My childhood cartoons was way better than my kids options.
What’s sad is that you can’t even find Looney Tunes on cable anymore. There’s a bunch of rainbow colored mutant animals it seems on every show. Putrid.

My dad was all about Saturday Morning Cartoons!! He'd wake me up early and excitedly tell me "hey!, Cartoons are on!!" If I could go back I'd cherish that more, cause he enjoyed them so much and I learned to love them too!

Growing up I used to be up at around 0500 everyday. I'd sneak downstairs and watch DIC cartoons. Looking back it was probably a couple hours where they burned off some titles. To me - I saw Sailor Moon, Dragonball Z, Double Dragon.

I remember X-Men was so cool. TMNT. Some kind of Indiana Jones cartoon? A James bond cartoon?? Batman. Etc....

Then ABC picked it up and did a bang up job. Recess was the star.

I loved watching SMC... I remember planning my morning as a 5YO, around my show lol

My favorite #1 show was Wildc.a.t.s. After that it was TMNT and X-Men

The one that came on extremely early, the first cartoon on Saturday for me was The Adventures of Rocky and Bullwinkle. Of course in syndication by that point. I remember not really understanding it but hey, I was still half asleep and and waiting for my cartoons to come on and with that, my peanut butter Capn Crunch(and maybe a toy in the box).
