Not complaining, offense humming good tonight, a lot of spreading ball around, would like to see us run it more.
He is going to cost us. He needs more creativity and run the ****in ball. Has 3 backs that are decent.

Satterfield is a problem. Last week I wasn’t sure because of how poorly officiated it was, but this week the struggles continued in the second half.
Not being able to push around Northern Iowa is troubling and they were able to run the ball effectively against Nebraska’s defense.
Gonna have to play a lot better against Illinois.

One thing is certain: the system is creating open receivers that raiola is missing. That is not a knock on raiola, hes a freshman and doing great. Just an observation in support of satt that tv doesnt show.

Northern Iowa had better line play than Colorado.

DR is throwing for about 210yds a game isn't he? That doesn't sound like an OC who wants to only throw to me? Looks like he's trying to get the run game going, to me. He could toss it a lot more, but appears to be sticking to trying to run tha ball....full diaclosure, I haven't looked at pass attempts per game so maybe i'm wrong. Feels like a mostly safe short tosses to get DR's feet wet, and a haevy does of run to belp that happen.

2 weeks in a row I've been disappointed in some effort. I know d line went to 2nd and 3rd string didn't pay as much attention to the o line but I am guessing the line won't like their grade this week
And how about Georgia yesterday? Our fans would want to fire that entire Georgia staff now.
Dylan is the first true freshman QB since Mariotta to complete 70+ percent of his passes after 3 games and some fans want to fire Satterfield.
He may be a problem. Execution may be a problem as well. The D allowed a 10 minute drive and didn’t look good much of the night. Where is the “fire White” gang?
UNI had a great plan with rolling the pocket, spreading us out, lots of misdirection and enough power to make it all work. Watch the backside cut blocks on replay. They just didn’t have enough O to get the job done when the field got small. There are teams who will be able to do that on us.
I would like to know if Sat is making the play calls or DR is checking to them at the LOS. DR missed some guys as well.

If I’m not mistaken we’ve scored a TD on our opening driving for 3 games in a row, not many teams can say that. Which equates to firing off the ball and having a great first 10-12 plays scripted by Satterfield. Is there a fall off on points scored in 2nd half this year sure. But we’re not a finished product.
DR definitely missed some open guys yesterday. He's going to make the wrong read or throw sometimes.
That was my thought that the 2nd half looked like the Satt of 2023 chucking it all over the place where we could have ground and pound this team. Like when he gets a lead he wants a knock-out punch instead of the body blows Rhules talks about.

74% completion rate passer and people want to save his reps for some reason. give the guy some practice. we will need it pretty soon. I don't think we have seen everything in this offense yet, might just be the lack of scoring in the 2nd halves. relax and enjoy the ride while we have it.

How is not pushing N Iowa around and N Iowa running the ball have to do with a Nebraskas OC. We had the ball last night for 45 plays and 20 minutes. We scored 34 points. my take is you know nothing about the game.
Averaging 34.0 points per game, 250 passing yards per game, 171.3 rushing yards per game, 421.3 total yards per game, 4.3 TD’s per game and +3 in TO margin. 104 runs and 92 passing plays. Add that 3-0 record and I’d say things look pretty good so far. Especially with what we have had to endure for several years now. Shiiiiittttt pour a whiskey and enjoy winning some games again.

We averaged 6.5 a rush and were trying to work out issues with the passing game. You are looking too much into something that was more of a game of working out some kinks.
Some playcalling issues may pop up later but for now it seems like people are really searching for things to complain about.
I don't even think Nebraska has really opened much up on either side of the ball yet. You will have to get used to some ugly 2nd half play when winning with Rhule. He doesn't care at all about style points, whether that is good or bad.
Speaking of overreaction, I think a lot of you (not you specifically) are getting your panties in a wad over criticism.
Folks can be concerned with some of Satterfield’s play calling without wanting to “clean house” or “looking for things to complain about.”
Rhule himself said he was displeased that UNI was the more physical football team, and that they have a lot of things to clean up.
That’s pretty much what I was saying. That and I think Satt may be a problem, but I guess time will tell.
It’s a lot better to talk about these things after a 34-3 win than after a loss.
The staff had three games to see what they have in terms of playmakers before the conference season. They knew the QB could deliver the ball just about anywhere on the field and they now know they have multiple kids to throw to. They have found lots of options: Neyor, Banks, Barney, Bonner, Lloyd, Nelson, Fidone, Bork, plus packages for Haarberg and Bullock is also reliable. The Johnson's are also options out of the backfield. I doubt either Rhule or Satt have had that depth of receiving talent at the college level. The run game has been efficient, averaging 4.9 ypc. And Raiola has shown that he has the ability to take off on a QB run, and packages exist for Haarberg in the run game. There isn't really a go-to guy in either the run or throw game and that may be an advantage. On any third down, who does the opposing D try to lock down? Neyor and Banks have to receive attention, but defenders will have an eye on someone like Rahmir or EJ, Barney or Nelson. If Haarberg is lined up as a receiver, he will draw a defender's attention.
That's enough talent to stay with any team on the schedule.
