Actually, we should all care about that stuff. It is 100% possible to do both. I understand your sentiment, and technically I agree, winning trumps everything. But its a shitty way to go about life.
What I find interesting is that Lutovsky graded the highest (PFF) of the OL against Purdue according to an article from Athlon Sports. Most everyone is bashing him. Maybe he hasn’t been the highest rated OL overall but I’ll take his performance against Purdue every time.
I obviously am less than enamored with much of Rhule's rhetoric

combined with his obvious interference with Satt's pass-happy play calling in the 2nd half, he is playing the hits (pardon the pun)

He might be average but appeared that he’s better than Lutovsky. I’m fine with however Rhule chooses to handle his players.

I think there is a risk management factor involved, or essentially a risk-reward type of scenario that is probably being considered?
The assumption is that Mazz will come in and perform and Huskers win a lot more games (8+). If that is the case, as well as doing what needs to be done as required by the coaching staff, then no one will remember in 3-5 years what happened. However, if Mazz comes in and Huskers don't win and/or he doesn't do what coaches require, then it could be a setback in terms of team culture.
The assumption is that Mazz returning is automatic to winning 8+ games. No assurance of that (although in theory NU is still alive for the playoffs and I say they still have a shot at the NC game.)

Another assumption is Rhule will win more than last year, then even more wins in Year 3. That's as far as his record goes.
Why is it automatic after Year 3 NU will continue to win 10-11 games a year when there is no track record of that?

really? I reviewed your numbers because I have an open mind. If you were to go back and look at the government numbers on inflation and the peaks and valleys and relate those to your numbers they follow similar peaks and vallleys just the baselines are different.
I'm sure neither of us have been persuaded to rethink our positions.

If the economy is booming, and the employment and inflation numbers are under control, they why would the Fed Reserve need a 50 basis interest rate cut?
You would "think" it would make mortgage rates go lower, yet they are higher and long range bonds increased. Doesn't make sense, the Fed knows they've lost.
