How would know you never been to Dinkers or Stella’s..😝

Neither set my hair on fire..D&M is a tad on the salty side...Runza is as greasy as D&M is salty...so pick your poison.

Anyone else find a lot of variance in the quality of Runza’s burgers? When I used to make a lot of treks along I-80, the Runza in North Platte was a good pit stop because they served good burgers and I could stretch my legs at the park next door. At the other Runzas along that route, burgers were not nearly as good.
Is that the one right off the exit near the gas station? I used to hit that one every drive in from California. It was hit or miss

Yes, just north of the bridge. Riverside park nearby with lots of shade and some picnic tables.

This clearly went over your head. You are represented by the sleeping student in this gif, who clearly doesn’t know what the fvck is going on. This thread is about the better fast food burger, which Dinkers and Stella’s are not fast food.

Apparently it went over your head because I put OT and I prefer not too go to either for a burger..

Great thread, OP

Really tough one

Went with Runza mostly due to recency bias

Runza
Care to share your recipe
1) Cook up a pound of 85/15 and half of a finely chopped yellow onion in a dutch oven over medium heat, making sure the meat is also finely chopped. Salt and pepper to taste. Drain off fat, or not, your call.

2) Mix a teaspoon of beef bouillon to 3/4 cup water and add that to the beef mixture. Let the liquid slowly cook off, about 15 minutes. Stir as you go. The extra beefy flavor remains and that’s what makes it good.

Pile it onto a Rotellas hamburger bun and top with good old yellow mustard.

Made pretty close to this exact thing last week.

Can’t beat it

I top with pickle + raw onion in addition to yellow mustard

Could eat 100

The burgers are comparable. Both are good for fast food burgers. I find D&Ms to have much more pepper than being salty like some are saying. Overall I would probably give the nod to Runza but that has more to do with me preferring crinkle cut fries over the straight ones.
