The "pro" draft analysis guys like him. Not sure the pro team scouts view him as a third rounder.
He needs to start playing up to his potential and he certainly could go third round or higher. Keeps up his current level and he is more than likely a priority free agent.

They do talk about the inconsistency of his play, but at NU that's been acceptable for the last 4+ years. Maybe that trend will end.

It's likely, bringing in Scott at Center and especially if they get that big dude from Baylor, all the guys on the OL best get to hustling.

That pro draft site I look at also had Cam and CTB last year as 2nd rounders, so they were pretty close.

BTW, they have CT as Free Agent, and Mathis as a 5th rounder even though CT didn't declare.

Playing in the o line is a thankless job. You get clubbed on every play and the only time anybody notices you is if you get penalized or miss a block. I try not to judge too harshly.

The problem is that film doesn’t tell you what was going through that kid’s head when the ball was snapped. Did he get the protection call? Man if he has to think for even a fraction of a second, he’s beat. I think a fresh start with a new OC will be good for these guys.

I have to disagree with you on this one dingle. The average person doesn't know or understand the communication that is going on in a game and at the LOS. The QB is making calls and the center is making blocking adjustments as well, all in a split second of time. Shoot, we had line calls back when I played HS ball in the 70's and then later when I coached, there were line calls all of the time. It is part of the game and yes you have to be able to react quickly but it isn't rocket science.
