Rhule Post game

Yep.. Rhule’s delicate ego won’t let him make the change
I don't think ego has anything to do with it. Sims is the best guy we have. Let's see how things improve the next few games headed into conference play. The (3) HUGE fumbles are very easy to fix. Outside of those plays he really didn't play that poorly. But in the end those fumbles gave us no shot and crushed drives and killed our defense.

2 games 8 turnovers. I've seen enough of Sims. Let HH have an opportunity.

I respectfully disagree. You can’t fix JS. It’s who he is after 3 years starting at the D1 level. What he lacks can’t be taught. I personally feel bad for the kid. He has been put in a position he is awful at, all because he keeps finding FB coaches gullible enough to look at his measurables instead of his stats.

Matt Rhule flushed this entire season because he was naive enough to think he could fix JS

Certainly is painful to watch a good team's chance to compete destroyed by something that should be basic fundamentals, but because it's basic fundamentals and the entangles are there, I'm on the side of coaching and correcting rather than benching.... also I'm not sure anyone can say they've ever been truly impressed how HH (one dimensional) or Chubba (zero dimensional) have played (last year & spring game). I might have a slightly different opinion if I also saw potential in the backups, but the reality is we have a lack of depth at QB right now. Let's see how the next couple games go playing at home.

Sims may be more talented than the others but I will take 15% less talent and trade ball protection and high football IQ everyday.
If it were only a 15% drop in talent I'd probably agree with you. I don't believe that is where we stand depth wise at this point. Prior to this season many were stating our season was screwed if Sims went down.... now somehow those same backups will save us? I get the fact that they may turn the ball over less than the current trajectory, but it's not like we can be the 2012 Vikings and just keep handing the ball off to AP even though the other team has 9 in the box. These should be correctable errors. Let's see how the staff handles it.

season essentially is over; rinse and repeat
Crazy. I know I'm overly optimistic, but I see the potential for this team, with this schedule, to still have a shot at winning the division and playing in the Big Ten title game. Lot of season left and we finally get to go play at home and build up some confidence and momentum before Michigan comes to town (which I think is a L).

The turnovers must be fixed, but this is the best team we've had in awhile (not saying much). Very happy with the defense and see the potential of the offense.

What talents does Sims have, exactly?

Coaches must see something but it’s certainly not translating to gamedays

At this point, Sims is not good enough to help the offense sustain drives and put points on the board and helping the defense, and I doubt that's going to get better.

Just maybe the coaches see more of the QBs in action than the fans

If easy to fix .. then it would have already been fixed

Some of you guys would only be happy if Rhule pulled out a gun and blew his brains out at the podium. Good Lord. Get over it.
If you are going to be over the top with effusive praise of your QB rather than generic coach speak then you better be prepared to take your medicine when all your preseason hype has been proven to be nothing more than bullshit

We knew that going in this season.
This is the bullshit that was served up to the fanbase by our head coach going into the season

“He’s a triple threat. He can throw it. He can run it. And he can beat you with his mind as well. He can get to the right play. He’s an NFL player. I think he’s under the radar. Not being talked about a lot. Which is probably good, there’s not a ton of expectation on him. I know our entire team is going to go out and fight for him cause because they believe in him. He’s such a great leader.”

First of all do you believe anything any coach says at this point ? Words mean nothing to me. What do you want the guy to say ? He's obviously a practice warrior but when the lights come on ....You can blame Rhule for his pick but not the kids play.

As turnover prone as Simms is, he’s still Neb’s best option at Qb IMO. Neb’s Qb room may be the worst in my lifetime. Simms is an accident waiting to happen and HH is limited in ability and I’d prefer Matt Turman over Chubba personally. Maybe we can start HH or Chubba and run it 3 times and punt? With our pedestrian wr Corp - neither is going to move the ball. Is what it is. And it’s a bad situation.

I haven't seen anyone but Sims , I don't care about last year. Let's see what else we got.
