Basketball Reminder: Husker Hoops vs. Mississippi State today at 1:00 p.m.

Huskers will travel to Starkville, Mississippi today to take on the Mississippi State Bulldogs in an exhibition game to raise money for Hurricane Irma relief.

Tipoff is set for 1:00 p.m. No television coverage, but select Husker Sports Network radio affiliates will broadcast the game, including 590 AM (Omaha) and the game will also audio stream on Huskers.com with Kent Pavelka calling the action.

There will be live Internet video via periscope on Mississippi State's men's basketball Twitter page (@HailStateMBK).

Going into the game, Nebraska has 13 consecutive wins in exhibition games dating back to 2007. Tim Miles is 2-0 against SEC teams in his NU tenure, beating Georgia 73-65 in the 2013-14 season and Tennessee 82-71 in the 2015-16 season.

Nebraska is 55-6 overall all-time in exhibition games, dating back to the 1966-67 season. Nebraska's last exhibition loss was a 54-50 setback to SIU-Edwardsville in 2006. NU is 5-0 all-time in exhibition games under Tim Miles.

The last time Nebraska played an SEC team on the road was a 2008 NIT Tournament game at Mississippi. Nebraska is 117-155 all-time against the SEC, with most of those contests coming against former Big 12 members Texas A&M and Missouri (239 of the 272 total matchups).

Mississippi State was 16-16 last year and 6-12 in the SEC. Head coach Ben Howland begins his third year at MSU and sports a 30-33 record at the school and is 431-239 in his 22nd year overall.
