OT: Dept of Ed and Title IX

Exactly. Women will actually lose opportunities when the school is forced to pay athletes equally. Potential football and basketball players will see that the millions available at school x with multiple women's teams is less for them than school y with few women's sports teams. The schools will be forced to drop women's sports to stay competitive in the sports that bring in major revenue.

At NU women's volleyball is probably the third most lucrative sport. Should the women receive more potential NIL money than the men's volleyball team? Yes. It's not hard to simply make NIL funds proportional to the amount of money the sport brings in as revenue.
It's not hard, just illegal to do so.
